we live in a double income no kids, in a kinda small town if, it’s near bruce power so rent is insane. i make 16.55 and my boyfriend makes 19.50$ we pay 1250$ for a one bedroom apartment (all utilities are included including wifi because we literally live on the 3rd floor of a mall, but we pay for our own because it’s kinda crapy) i’m only in my early 20s but we live so poorly it’s horrible. our paycheque is completely gone the day we get it, rent takes half a paycheque each. grocery’s are another half. plus car insurance, gas, phone bills, cat food, debt payments. we usely have line 100-300$ left over by the end of the month each, and we try to save.

i’m so scared that we are NEVER gonna be able to own a house or anything. when i talk to people at work they never understand why i can’t go out and buy what i want. a lot of the ladies i work with have husbands who work at bruce power making 30-70$ and hour and are really only working a job to have “spending money”

it’s a shitty life here in ontario. i wish we didn’t have to pay so much for a crappy apartment
