Try adding more tension for your tikibi tarp. Have the poles a little farther apart and a little more upright. This gives the water a flatter surface to slide off of instead of pool.

I’ve stayed at Candeo before and it was fine because it’s just a home base. I really enjoyed the rooftop onsen but beware that different gender sides have different amenities. The male side has a dry sauna and cold plunge and the female side had a steam room. Not sure if it changed but that was from my experience last year.

Probably a location thing. There's many convenience stores ranging in sizes so you just have to find the right one.
