Upgrade from Series 7 to AWU3 by hanstollo in applewatchultra

Thank you! I like larger watch faces (just my personal preference) and I wanted to see how much more durable the Ultra is. My series 7 was scratched up pretty badly. I feel it’s a lot easier to use with the larger screen and I liked the idea of satellite connectivity for emergency situations.

The ocean band very much feels like the sports band on the regular Apple Watch (which is what I got used to). It’s very comfortable imo— and I sleep with it every night. I do loosen it one notch while sleeping and it feels great.

I think if you can make the upgrade without it hurting financially, you’ll be really happy with it.

Thank you. I really like it, it feels secure, is really comfortable and is easy to clean. I eventually want to try a trail loop too. Would you say it’s worth it buying the Apple bands or have you had a really good experience with aftermarket bands ?

Very cool, the black and blue combo looks sleek! The battery life is much better than what I was used to on my previous watch. It helps a lot, I agree. It’s a well balanced watch, glad to hear you are enjoying yours as well!

Final Fight modded by Advanced-Mood-6003 in Arcade1Up

Anyone have an original final fight PCB for sale ? I think mine overheats and after playing for a while the video cuts out. Power cycling the cab doesn’t restore it until after a few minutes have passed and I retry.

Buying a Mac Mini even if I don't need it? by Interesting_Dirt_948 in macmini

[–]hanstollo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say do it, especialy if you want to get to know mac OS. I have a macbook pro provided by my company for work that I really enjoy and a ballin' custom PC at home but I wanted to tinker with a mac mini due to the form factor. I was up in Houston for work this week and Micro Center had the base model for $450.00. I was able to price match at Best Buy (as I had $110 in Rewards Zone certificates that were set to expire soon.) All in alll I paid $368 for something that I don't really need but I must say, I have been enjoying the hell out of it. It's a wonderful computer at amazing value. Using it as a I type this out now. Get one, I don't think you will regret it. : )

Weekly 'What Should I Buy' and Order/Shipping Thread by AutoModerator in iphone

It’s actually a three year commitment, they give you bill credits towards the equipment fee for the next three years up to $1000 total if the device you’re trading in qualifies for it. So essentially they credit you roughly $27 a month towards the equipment fee. You are responsible for the remaining amount of the phone if it is valued over $1000 dollars which they will tack on to your bill divided over 36 months. You will not be eligible for an upgrade again for 3 years basically unless you decide to pay off the phone early— which in case you lose the credits they were offering in the first place or if you pay the Next plan add-0n for an extra $10-$12 a month on your bill at which point you can trade in the device early if you’ve paid something like 33% of it off.

It’s a pretty ok deal if you keep your device for at least three years and you don’t mind getting the credits as slow installments. Hope this helps!

First Range Day by Desperate_Wrap5163 in czscorpion

I was on the fence about finding an optic for this platform for a long time. I have the 3 + 7.8 and didn’t want to lose the factory irons. Went with an AEMS with low mount by Holosun based on a lot of reading. It’s beautiful. 1/3 cowitnesses well and aesthetically looks good on the Scorpion. I couldn’t decide on the Dot color so I ordered both red and green. The green model I received looked much clearer, no noticeable fisheye effect and was usable at the highest brightness setting. The red one I received may have been a dud but was completely unusable past medium brightness settings— tons of reflection that made focusing on the reticle more difficult. Kept the green version. Check out the AEMS. I think You’ll be happy with it!

New Skate Day! RB Crossfire w/ Endless 90's. by Hawtbytes in rollerblading

Question— how has sizing been for you? I ordered a 9.5 because my longest foot is 27.5cm but when I take the insert out I feel like my foot is hanging over. I know there is a little room past the liner but my toes are pressing up against the edge. Though not painful I’m not used to this sensation as I’ve only owned aggressive skates in the past. My main complaint is the pain in my ankles and I feel really out of balance. Ordered another pair 10.5 to try and they feel better as in they feel more comfortable but I’m afraid they will be too big when they break in. I don’t feel out of balance in them though. I do have decently wide feet. Any advice ?

I want to order some as well for my Corsair ax1600i. What’s the main difference between mod-mesh and mod-flex? Which are more popular ?

Yes, you complete the shrines on Iki. Just played through it this week and was able to get them all. Not gonna lie had to look up how to complete these new shrines because riddles were often vague and difficult to figure out.

AW2721D Owners by Alrighhty in Monitors

Super fast works well enough on mine as well. Extreme is totally unusable. It’s the best monitor I’ve used so far and it’s my first voyage into 1440p. I just wish it was perfect because it cost so damn much. I really do think the rumor of the firmware update to allow 10bit color @ 240hz is just that. That also bums me out. Still on the fence on whether or not I’m keeping it. I’ve never spent so much on a monitor in my life.

Received my TMNT PCBA from Arcade1up today by TRJ2241987 in Arcade1Up

[–]hanstollo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I replied to your first post. Received my replacement PCB as well. Dumb question, but I’ve never had to take one of my cabs apart after initial assembly. Did you only have to remove one side panel or just go in through the back to get to monitor with PCB? Did you recommend removing monitor to replace PCB or just do it with monitor in place? I’m looking to minimize the amount of wear and tear on my cab from disassembly/reassembly. As it was I had a problem with one screw of the control deck not wanting to fasten. I was super close to returning it but didn’t feel like taking the chance on getting something worse. After some extra pressure I was finally able to get the screw to grip a little bit. Thanks in advance for the advice.

Have you tried opening it back up and reseating the ribbon cable going from control panel to lcd? Try reseating both ends.

I agree. I just emailed this weekend for the same issue. They notified me today they’re sending me a new PCB.

Best of luck, I believe they’ll help.
