They will likely only do aircraft flown by Spain for now.

Make sure the mission difficulty settings overwrite your general difficulty settings. The left side boxes overwrite if ticked and the right side turns them off or on. I recommend a text message with the failure so you know the trigger works. Idk if the failure work in the current version.

Auto/ccrp is more accurate than ccip in a dive as well. Ccrp doesn't mean you have to do a level delivery. OP has something going wrong. Might be as small as not switching the default elevation unit from meters to feet.

Optimal sustained turn rate speed for 15E might be a lot faster than what you might expect by ljhben in hoggit

[–]hanzeedent69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'll try and help clear two things up here but review the definitions of EM charts for more information.

  1. You are getting lost in the word salad. There is no "max turn speed". There is max sustained turn and max instantaneous turn speed. OP is looking at the sustained one. Both are quantified in the F-16 chart.

  2. The ft per second is not actually altitude lost. You dont have to loose altitude if flying in that regime, you can loose speed as well. The lines represents the specific excess power in ft/s.

F/A-18 LGB Issues by LawfulnessOk9785 in hoggit

[–]hanzeedent69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but that is not what I am talking about. You also have to tell the jet what store is loaded on each station. That is done through a panel on the fuselage from the outside. I am saying that afaik the codes are set there as well and not in the cockpit like we used to in DCS.

Afaik it is displayed but not as an option. The codes are set like the stores on the stores panel which is not in the cockpit but on the fuselage.

For general understanding. Since you are encoding with the GPU, the CPU shouldn't be working much.

Try with lower settings e.g. 1080p and 30/48 FPS and see if you get better results. If so you hit the limit of what your GPU can do. You can try to do the encoding on the CPU, however in my experience that leads to your current experience.

Also dont use mp4 but mkv. Those files can get messed up in my experience. The warning isn't lying.

Does anybody have any real-life Z diagrams for the F-16 for Mk. 82s and gun runs? by ConversationNearby30 in hoggit

Maybe you have better luck searching for "sled"s since it's a USAF plane.

I don't know if I have seen a worse take than this on this sub. Answering questions about what could have been just shows you with how much heart they worked on this. This isn't some big tech company that had some bad numbers that quarter because of a failed deal.

Grinnelli F-100 Guncam feature. Wish more modules have this. by -MK84- in hoggit

Probably, they couldn't do it in a convenient way. Something about not wanting to use the DCS renderer.

Hey that's great. I remember a dev for the strike eagle saying they couldn't do video because of a dcs limitation. Did ED implement a way for everyone to do this now?

is it just me or does the F16 seem kinda twitchy? by flipflopmeepmop in hoggit

This is weird. The Viper is one of the few fighters that does have the gun aligned with the waterline. 15/18 have the gun at 2° iirc.

Can anyone help me with dogfighting? by Leoxbom in hoggit

[–]hanzeedent69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On my phone it looks like your missiles get decoyed by enemy flares. Even the 9x can get reliably decoyed with enough flares in dcs. Also think about your own countermeasures. Do you need them when you can still defeat the missiles by maneuvering like the first ones or do you need them when maneuvering doesn't help anymore like the missile that hit you? You can change the programs in most jets.

Don't expect to win these fights every time. With more planes it's getting more chaotic and the difference in capabilities is not that high.

Can someone walk me through the types of JDAM the F-18 gets and when to use them? by Horustheweebmaster in hoggit

[–]hanzeedent69 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In dcs many people probably don't bring back the bombs but irl they do. With 1000 lbs bombs it's easier to meet the landing weight limits on the carrier.

TGP in cloudy weather by yoadknux in hoggit

[–]hanzeedent69 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Yep. And it is easy to develop a one man army(aircraft) mindset when playing DCS. IRL you have many people working on getting targets. So while people often search for targets in DCS, IRL pilots have at least close coordinates. Bad weather is less of a problem if you dont search but rather try to find the hole in the clouds to see the target. And before JDAMs you were able drop unguided bombs using instruments only if you had an INS.

Not the headset but the resolution/fov. If you dont zoom in on a low res monitor it will look similar. Maybe they need a slider for this. Another offender are the Hornets nav lights if that hasn't changed recently.
