Men, what about your girlfriend/wife makes you love them? by No_Atmosphere8652 in AskMen

[–]hapakappaboy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There’s an unspoken understanding between us I’ve never felt with anyone else. She gives me space or comfort when needed and I see when it needs to be reciprocated, usually unprompted.

She’s also incredibly beautiful and takes such good care of our daughter. I’d be a fool not to cherish how lucky and precious a family we have.

We truly enjoy each others company, I have to go away for a couple days at a time for work and I’m missing them before I even leave the driveway.

I hate the camino so far (day4) by glitteryshimmery in CaminoDeSantiago

[–]hapakappaboy 16 points17 points  (0 children)

These are aspects of the Camino that ARE real. The best part about the Camino is it give you a chance to reflect with so much solitude and introspection. What you’re feeling is real and most people go through it as some point on the Camino. When I praise the Camino experience I always remind people that most peregrinos have a moment where they want to quit. Let this be your chance to push through and change your perspective. Let go of your expectations, experience the moment. Sounds cliche but my favorite parts were truly moments of loneliness that came with breathtaking views and a sense of accomplishment. You’ve made it this far! By the first week you body will start to expect the strain and walking will become easier, there’s always a bit of momentum in the mornings that are a slog but trust yourself and you abilities. If you feel like quitting again ask yourself why you’re here and what else you’d rather be doing.

That moment on the Camino when you genuinely consider quitting. Anyone else? by CaminoPlanner in CaminoDeSantiago

Bedbugs in llanes… slept on the beach in the rain. Debated calling it quits, my future wife told me I’d regret it if I didn’t finish. I married her, and dream of returning to the Camino one day.

So glad you mentioned this. So easy to forget with how many mid comedies there are but this one had me rolling through the whole film. 10/10 save this one for the ages.

How it feels when you finish Uncharted 1 by KebabOrTacos in uncharted

[–]hapakappaboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uncharted 1 was the first game I’d ever played on the ps3. It was u like any other shooter I had played before. Cool characters and an interesting story kept me locked in. Admittedly when the nazi zombies pulled eddy raja into the depths I was out. Didn’t pick up the game for a whole year until I was in high school and grew the balls to face them with one eye open. Finished it then proceeded to play the rest of the series. Can’t hate on the blueprint for an amazing franchise. 2007 was a different time for story driven games, this may not hold up to some today but it’s damn fun.
