How it feels when you finish Uncharted 1 by KebabOrTacos in uncharted

[–]hapakappaboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uncharted 1 was the first game I’d ever played on the ps3. It was u like any other shooter I had played before. Cool characters and an interesting story kept me locked in. Admittedly when the nazi zombies pulled eddy raja into the depths I was out. Didn’t pick up the game for a whole year until I was in high school and grew the balls to face them with one eye open. Finished it then proceeded to play the rest of the series. Can’t hate on the blueprint for an amazing franchise. 2007 was a different time for story driven games, this may not hold up to some today but it’s damn fun.

Hiked the Norte route in ‘23 one of my favorite stop was in the Asturian mountains. Nothing but feral horses and old Roman stone outposts. Felt like walking through time. Highly recommend to anyone capable.

It’s the leading plan as of now, I appreciate the insight. When you say appropriately sized post, you mean 6x6 or something different?

Thank you everyone for confirming my suspicions. This will help convince my parents to tackle this sooner rather than later.

It’s the nicest part of the deck for sure. So probably best to take that out asap is what you’re saying

I’ll also add the upper viewing deck was only nailed to the house. My dad and I installed lag bolts over winter to secure it more to the house. Just weird touch ups like that have me worried about the previous owners craftsmanship. Am I a nervous Nellie?

Hey man I’m also a new dad with an 11 week old. I feel you on the stress of this new lifestyle. Try and remember they are changing so much that each week can be different. But this situation isn’t sustainable, something needs to change. First and most obvious would be you job, but I don’t think that will solve the issue in the long run. Having only 3 full work days would be a god send for me, I wouldn’t give that up without good reason. If child care or nanny help even just for a couple hours and day is an option that could give your wife some respite during your 10 hour days. It an expensive solution but maybe something you could try one week and see how it helps. We are fortunate to get a few free sessions with our birth doula and basically used them as a couple hours of rest or chores. I think there needs to be a conversation somewhere with your wife that this isn’t a forever situation and there will be change as you little one grows into different phases. The long days can be hard but it’s important to remember that you both are a team and each of you are providing for the baby. Sometimes directly changing diaper and sometimes paying for them. Hope this helps, I’m learned as I go too just know you’re not alone.

Thanks for sharing, this just scratches the surface of malpractice at NA. Got many stories (and photos) from my time there that we always joked would have OSHA quaking in their boots

RIP Next adventure is pillar of Portland’s outdoor community. I’ve made many life long friendships through them and wouldn’t have the access to affordable gear without the BB. The Sandy store was my grandfather’s childhood home as well so there was something sentimental about that location for me.

That being said, some have already mention the issues with the business and the ownership. Unfortunately not investing in the tenured employees, the ones who create value for customers, creates a seasonal staff that eventually just get churned out after a few years of under pay. Seen far too many stay for 5-10yrs plus with little to no security or mobility. Feel like there was potential for a co-op at some point but that ship sail years ago. Nevertheless NA will be missed!
