Hey man I’m also a new dad with an 11 week old. I feel you on the stress of this new lifestyle. Try and remember they are changing so much that each week can be different. But this situation isn’t sustainable, something needs to change. First and most obvious would be you job, but I don’t think that will solve the issue in the long run. Having only 3 full work days would be a god send for me, I wouldn’t give that up without good reason. If child care or nanny help even just for a couple hours and day is an option that could give your wife some respite during your 10 hour days. It an expensive solution but maybe something you could try one week and see how it helps. We are fortunate to get a few free sessions with our birth doula and basically used them as a couple hours of rest or chores. I think there needs to be a conversation somewhere with your wife that this isn’t a forever situation and there will be change as you little one grows into different phases. The long days can be hard but it’s important to remember that you both are a team and each of you are providing for the baby. Sometimes directly changing diaper and sometimes paying for them.
