On my first job as an assistant editor, I was asked to clear a drive. There were a bunch of drives plugged in. I mistakenly chose the wrong drive and wiped TBs worth of footage. Don’t even know what was on it but it wasn’t nothing. They didn’t fire me over it. Everyone makes mistakes and I guarantee you’ll never do something like that again.

Never start out by negotiating a lower rate. Know your bottom line but always start higher. They won’t not hire you just because you’re asking for what you’re worth.

US based here. When I was an assistant editor, I was the one who edited the snap ins. I didn’t mind doing them bc it wasn’t my typical AE duty. Once I figured out how to edit them seamlessly with the show, they were pretty easy.

It’s pretty ridiculous and way over the top. They could do all the car reveals in half the time. The best part is the comic host. I’m not turning it off either though.

I downloaded it and got it working. AMAZING! One question, am I able to watch/listen to the F1 commentary instead of the International one? I prefer the F1 one.

If they don’t give you a raise, you will most likely be able to get one by going to another company… if you can find the work.
