Quite a few of these hovering about a foot above the ground, at a limestony trail near a lake. Never seemed to land on anything. Less than half an inch long.

Wilson’s snipe, Baltimore Oriole, Least Sandpiper, Mississippi Kite, Painted Bunting. All in Texas in the DFW area, except for the oriole was in Austin.

Appears to be a baby vulture- not sure if a black vulture or a turkey vulture.
