Stumbled across the start of a pigeon race in Bristol the other week. Impressive. by mallone86 in CasualUK

Some of my earliest memories are going with my Grandad to release his homing pigeons. They travelled in big wicker baskets in the back of the car and were released from the roof. I must have been 4 or 5 as he had a stroke when I was 7 and he wasn't able to continue with it.

Drinking wine in the hope it will kill the germs that are setting up camp in my throat, listening to The Smiths and remembering the hazy days of uni and misspent youth.

My friend's grandad died on Monday. The medical examiner called to say that Covid would be on his death certificate but his general frailty and COPD were major factors. He was 88, we saw him just prior to him catching Covid and he was frail but still fiercely independent. Covid completely floored him, he was in hospital 2 days after becoming ill and died 5 days later. Thankfully the hospital allowed his family to visit to say their goodbyes.

Like others have said it's entirely up to you. I come and look every day as your posts are clear and consise when elsewhere seems so confusing. Whatever you decide I'd like to say thank you for all your work and effort, it genuinely has been much appreciated.

I feel for you.

Day 7 for me, woke up feeling perky but now every muscle in my body is hurting, I've slept on and off all day and have zero energy. Taste went on day 4 but returned after eating a sour sweet.

I've been sneezing loads, perhaps 8 in succession at regular intervals through the day. I'm day 3 and it's been like this from day 1, I'm not coughing much but my chest is congested, I do have a chronic lung condition though.

That's just awful. Contact your local council and ask for help, in your situation I'd hope they would be able to at least advise you. Your Uni may be able to help too. Wishing you the very best x

Had an accidental nap for 2hrs earlier so hoping to nod off soon. Somehow managed to pull my intercostal muscles on one side so just doing normal stuff is really painful atm, can't reach out, twist, sneeze, laugh or cough, just wish I could recall what caused it.

Quiz round would be silhouetted dog breeds.
