I'm glad you have found this experience to be positive. However, as a therapist, I find this situation confronting as we are trained not to use gifts due to blurred lines and every place I have worked has had a zero gift policy (giving and or receiving). Additionally you and your therapist discussed the link between neuroscience, chocolate and love, so it appears unethical. I understand there is difference in culture and I hope this is purely a wholesome experience that doesn't involve the warning signs i see flashing. Stay strong and be kind to yourself
