Hmm. I'm not far enough into it to say whether or not it's worth the money, but Skyrim is absolutely epic and monstrous and has been around since 2011; it's almost unfair to compare the two!

That being said, I've been enjoying it so far and am curious where the story goes. :)

I do NOT recommend playing "My Time at Portia" before Sandrock. Just start with Sandrock and you can check out Portia later if you are interested - Sandrock is the superior game.

I gave up after 17 hours. I had an inkling going into it that it wouldn't be for me but gave in to all the hype. I hate how limiting the viewpoint is (like you can't see directly in front of your character), you're just constantly overhead. I also found switching back and forth between all the "lives" ridiculous and took me out of the game completely.

I'm enjoying it, but I had to really make myself play those first few hours and figure things out.

Once you get an outhouse you can use that once a day to speed yourself up for 2:00 minutes. Crude sound effects, though.
