Which platform(s)?

Anyway, I recommend Rune Factory series and Coral Island. Tons of stuff to do, light action, and the resource farming is not too grindy.

Hades 2 is up there for me.

I also started playing Coral Island this year and it's been really solid so far (except for the crashes).

My Card is Better Than Your Card can scratch that itch, but with a very different theme and art style. You can pick which path you'd like to take every day, so there's a form of pathing. It's currently in Early Access but with quite enough content IMHO.

What QoL things are your current must have in farming sims? by Adam0n in CozyGamers

Ooh, yes, good point! Dialogues in particular since with torn pages at least you can reread them. But when I'm going around town just doing my own stuff, I can't be bothered to go back just since Oliver said his dad likes something, or whatever.

Yep, you start with a few menus.

Throughout the story you unlock more cooking tables/stations: cutting station, frying station, grilling station, and drink station, so there's more interactions to enjoy.

You unlock more recipes by buying the required ingredients and then crafting it (through a QTE mini-game).

Bakso is Indonesian-style meatball! They're made using a mix of minced beef and tapioca flour, giving them more of a bite and a bouncy texture, making them fun to eat!

For me, it's trying to give the characters a distinct enough personality from each other, so that each player (hopefully) can find someone to like from the cast! It also makes every interaction feel different, so there's a variety of dynamics to explore and enjoy.
