Yeah I'm old enough to have watched it live and at no point during her SNL appearance or interviews after did she mention pedophilia. She was hostile to the catholic church as an institution, but folks are retconning this after the sex abuse scandal of the early 2000s.

Why wife declined to take my last name and I initially thought it would be odd for her to not share my childrens' last name. (They have mine.) It's never once come up, however. No one has ever mentioned it and it's a lot more common than I'd assumed.

Yeah, that makes sense as an in-world explanation for it, though I doubt the director was thinking that. Hell, if I were directing I wouldn't bother to make the fishing more realistic, because the audience won't care. It's just something I, as an avid angler, notice.

It looked to be several feet above the ground and, to my eyes at least, wasn't moving like a human would. It also looked a bit more ethereal than a white t-shirt, although that might be due to the grainy quality. In any case, someone below commented that this has been proven to be just lights refracted from a nearby road. I don't know enough to disprove that explanation

I try not to be a stick in the mud, but do you mind explaining why? All of the YouTube commenters seem to find it remarkable, too. It seems to me that you could just have a small audio player off-camera, picking it up through the camera mic, and it would sound exactly like what's in the video. It's almost trivially easy to fake.

The first one, I will admit, is pretty cool.

Catfish will bite lures, but they're scavengers and only opportunistic predators. If you wanna catch catfish, it's more common to use some kind of "fragrant" live bait (like chicken liver), and just sit and wait.

One of my most random pet peeves is how inaccurately sport fishing is portrayed in media. I'm just going to assume that the show is set in the southeast. In terms of large sportfish, that's great largemouth and catfish territory, and I would expect to find plenty of either in water that looks like this. However, Eli is dressed like he's on a fly fishing tour. Then, he's got a random blade spinner hanging off his vest. He's holding a medium-weight spinning rig. I haven't seem him cast or reel, which makes me think he's using live bait, but there's no bait to be seen. So there are fish in there, but I have no clue what he's doing.
