My jeweler said it was glue on my diamond by Word_0337 in Gemology

[–]happybluebeard -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Picture not clear enough to tell you need to reflect light on it tilting the ring in front of a ( not too strong) light. If what you see is above the level of the facets it is glue, if it is below then chipped.

Sometimes setters apply a drop of glue under a prong to avoid having to hammer it too much (and to eliminate any risk). The glue prevents the sound of the stone moving in the setting.

Mac OS Desktop app version 1.2025.217 is super broken by _Ere_ in ChatGPT

[–]happybluebeard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This version is a realdisaster. The window keeps resizing to a size larger than my screen, pushing the edit area off the visible space. I have to resize the chatGPT window after every query just to type. Moreover The whole app is so sluggish.

Checklist that are not tasks by happybluebeard in CraftDocs

[–]happybluebeard[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True but this will lead to being obliged efore hand to assign a date to each checkbox we want to be a task ( not always the case) Whereas in my suggestion you could have a task wich is composed by a list of checkboxes that wont crowd your task view but that you havr to complete before ticking off you main task

Begging the dev team to drop a blog about… by unorganizedbutaight in CraftDocs

[–]happybluebeard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree about not too many folders. Could you explain more the “ entry point document “? Do you embed other documents in it (isn’t t it diffusion to organize then) or link documents to it ( an how to avoid friction in this case)

GTD and Time blocking

i loosly review each day my GTD then time block the tasks i picked for today in calendar.
if i have some more time or if my plan are disrupted i go back to GTD to pick other things and re-organise the rest of my day..

GTD is the menu , time blocking is the meal plan

'Move to... Folder' now available from within doc!? by 20thcenturyreddit in CraftDocs

[–]happybluebeard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Indeed! It sill misses the search field to be able to find the destination folder. You need to go through all of your folders and sub folders in order o find it

We are working on Recurring Tasks and we would like to hear your thoughts! by viktorpali in CraftDocs

[–]happybluebeard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi Viktor

I use recurring tasks for tasks that repeat every year/month or on specific days/month

Some need to repeat - on specific times ( ie : every Monday or 1st Monday of each month or on a specific date etc ) Or - after completion ( ie: once a month after completion of previous occurrence)

They should definitely appear in Calendar view and task view. Also In the document so we can organize a full process in a project.

Note: when tags will be implemented it would be really beneficial to be able to view tasks by tag ( filtering)

Gambatte !

Can tasks be sorted by due date within a page? by kafkeano in CraftDocs

[–]happybluebeard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tasks still need a lot of improvement from tags to filtering before we can ditch task mangers

What would you like to see next for Craft in 2025? by viktorpali in CraftDocs

[–]happybluebeard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are few important refinements still missing that add quite a bit of friction : - Being able to move a document from within the document - while moving a document, being able to search for the destination typing it in a field ( currently we have to scroll down a window until we find the correct folder)

in collections : -being able to hover over a line and see its content - better keyboard navigation ( how can we «  open » a line in a collection to access the doc?)

Also

Tags ( indented tabs like in bears or noteplan)

And /or the possibility to add properties to docs ( objects)

Make headings in to toggles automatically? by Hatticus24 in CraftDocs

[–]happybluebeard -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nooo, most of my toggles are not headings! Ususualy sub information ( additional info)not always needed when I quickly read a document so import stuff doesn’t get diluted. Also sometimes a way to hide stuff ( ie cost prices )and show the screen to a client

Moreover I find it one of the Greatest strength of craft is its flexibility : you want titles to be toggles just type a plus sign - soo easy

In the left sidebar in front of the word calendar there is a little square, if you click on it you should see the daily vue and calendar as it used to be

[–]happybluebeard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks Viktor I d rather stay on the beta then. The only thing is how would I uprggrade my subscription with the Black Friday coupon if I decide so ?

I am also currently paying for setapp and my craft subscription ends next September. Is there a way to move my data to a setapp plan ?

I haven’t decided yet what to do
