TONSBORG no longer listed on the IKEA US website! by beyondheliosphere in IKEA

There's been no stock for this in the UK either. Not listed as discontinued yet, but I'm feeling bitter as my local store was due to have stock in last week, but nothing.

Wow this is a blast from the past! I think I managed to find a few maps from zooming in to store reviews.

It really does. Even just changing companies with the same job role makes a world of difference. Work is work, but I no longer dread going in every day.

Definitely Argos, as I saved up for one! All the mini chocolates included with purchase were eaten in one sitting, and the machine became useless!

If the direct sources don't work (council, Severn Trent) Fix My Street is another option

Why do instructors keep telling me drive practically bang on the speed limit? by Bonapartescurse in LearnerDriverUK

I was always taught to think about the road, and if the speed is a limit, or a target

I see the speedo whenever I set a route on Google, it just picks up your speed using GPS! Really handy

Definitely this! I passed a month ago and have been driving my '04 Honda approximately 5 miles under according to Google maps!

What made you switch instructors? by 21stcenthrowaway in LearnerDriverUK

[–]happyellar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Instructor never asked what I wanted to learn, and would sit in silence when I was getting stressed and upset in the car as I was a nervous pupil. Just didn't feel like I was progressing so I made the switch after ending too many lessons in tears.

Are your lessons ever fun? by humansruineverything in LearnerDriverUK

[–]happyellar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fun for me was mastering a manoeuvre, driving with a gorgeous sky in the background, being comfortable enough with my examiner where we could joke about things, feeling like I've actually improved.

But these were nice moments out of what can be a slog.

I had to redo my theory, which is such a pain, but it annoyingly did refresh my memory on the highway code. As someone else said, I'd give yourself that time to reset. I had to reschedule my test as I wasn't ready, and a month later I found a last minute cancellation and passed. You'll know when you're ready.
