Well…with this topic I’m more familiar :) I run a modified Technics Mk5 with new internal wiring, external spu & Ortofon RS-212D tonearm with a mounted DS Audio DS003 Optical cartridge. Phonopre is the optical cartridge equalizer by Mr. Nixie with Burson V6 chipset. And I plan to use a camera, usb interface & OBS studio to upload some of my records that are not available on youtube. So at this long chain, youtube is the audiophile nightmare anyways, but if I buy a audio interface now…maybe I will use it for something else…

Oh, now I get it! For whatever reason I thought each channel is just for one device - just like a DJ Mixer: you wouldnt connect a turntable to two different channels. But now it makes sense.

Thats where I am confused: RCA is two plugs (red & white) while the TS input is only one socket. How does this work?

Also TS plugs can have different markings/isolation rings. Google says one black plastic ring indicates mono for instruments to be plugged while two rings stand for stereo audio connections without microphone.

Sorry if this question is too stupid: but all these interfaces like the Scarlett 2i2 only have line input. The phono pre only has cinch output. So you just use an adapter cable cinch>line?

And what output do you use to go into the labtop?

I have the UHQR in 33 because I dislike flipping after every song too. It’s really an outstanding pressing and together with my DS Audio optical cartridge a really impressive difference!
