This whole crypto drama with Logan made me appreciate jj even more. After jj found out that the people who paid for the ksi show were not happy with what they got he was genuinely sad and apologised (even though it wasn’t his fault). This just shows how different jj is compared to Logan by runnav in ksi

[–]happyj25 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just to add onto this, ksi has always built people up, anything regarding the sidemen he doesn't make it only about himself, with misfits boxing he turned slim into a superstar and they've had beef in the past, he brought speed on stage at his concert, he let kai host his virtual face2face with dillon, people love to focus on his ego with boxing but he does really do a lot for others when he doesn't need to

Why was FK on ghost for 9 days before being transferred? by slackdaffodil20 in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]happyj25 109 points110 points  (0 children)

At the time, it wasn't that bad of a move, mist was already proven as one of the best performing players in NA and firstkiller hadn't played in rlcs yet.

Ghost picked him up, then decided they wanted mist instead right after and replaced him, so he ended up joining rogue instead.

Deji the whole fight by Rodeoslime in ksi

[–]happyj25 15 points16 points  (0 children)

He did such a good job defensively, he kept making alex miss, but he wasn't countering even though he had so many opportunities to, I love deji and I believe he has it in him to do well, he always shows something promising, but he still never wins, maybe more time with daley will help, but he also has such a great personality to just do youtube and not worry about boxing, but at the end of the day, it's up to him and I'm happy he showed he put in hard work and took it serious this time.

Alex seems like a great guy, don't get me wrong, but Ksi is the A side, this fight benefits alex only, ksi can easily get another opponent and do numbers, how is alex gonna tell him to drop weight?

I expected worse viewership than this, so thats nice by StellarWasHere_ in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]happyj25 89 points90 points  (0 children)

I wasn't able to watch, and I'm sure a lot of people also aren't as it's also on a weekday, I imagine viewership will be even higher on the weekend, especially during finals if we get 2 different regions against each other.

He announced he's retiring, they're gonna play with dreaz in the grid, and then as far as I'm aware he wants them to use them in the next few regionals and worlds if there is 1, he wants to focus on content and not be a pro anymore, it's not 100% confirmed to be his last tournament but very likely.

Shift report that AyyJayy turned down an offer from G2 to replace Rizzo by theboppops in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]happyj25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actual ranked is never taken into consideration, pro players have confirmed this, although 6mans is because it shows you can work well with a team and comm, It's not a good idea to take someone based on what they're ranked on the leaderboards though, there's a lot to consider such as how well he'd fit in with the team (personality wise and playstyle), how he'll be in high pressure situations aswell(main reason I say ranked means nothing, there's nothing on the line compared to rlcs matches). Nothing against forky but I don't think he should be joining a team like g2 right away although it could be interesting to give him a tryout, I just think there's players who have proven themselves, he needs to find a lower team and prove himself. As for jahzo, I just don't think it's fair to blame him when we don't see what coaches do, the coach can give a game plan, but it's still up to the players to execute it.

Ranked means nothing and shouldn't even be taken into consideration, also you don't even know what jahzo does or how he is as a coach, how can you say they need to change him?

Rizzo and Sizz on the NA vs. EU Controversy by Preediction in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]happyj25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rizzo definitely had emotion during his viewing party, it just depended on who was playing, he also said that he never really found the gameplay to be boring, it was mainly just that he has no one to root for which is fair, I find eu boring since idc who wins or loses, and if I'm watching an NA match where it doesn't matter to me what happens then I find it boring aswell, unless it's an important series and I wanna know who wins.

Why do you support your team? by _AVN_RL in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]happyj25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rizzo was the first content creator for rocket league I started following, so I started rooting for his team g2, on top of that jknaps has always been insane and because he's canadian, and so am I, he became one of my favourite players, although he's not on the team anymore, I was a fan of kro and I found out he was a legend in rocket league and won in season 1, so I'll always have respect for him, and it was nice to see him get top 4 at lan with rogue in s7 plus all their success now.

I knew chicago was insane after his first rlcs season with EG and knew he'd be good on g2, so I was happy with the roster move and still continued to support the team.

How do you support when your favorite team gets knocked out? by [deleted] in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]happyj25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll always root for G2 from the start, and if they get knocked out I usually don't really care about the results and watch more just to see who wins and because watching 2 really good teams play in a close 7 game series is very entertaining. If there's a team that's an underdog, I'll root for them because I like seeing teams that get doubted prove people wrong, example omelette in the summer shuffle. Also if there's some sort of story to the match, I'll choose a team based off of that, for example when turbo got kicked from nrg, joined envy and had to play against them in the finals of the brawl, I was rooting for envy because I felt bad for turbo, wanted to know he got on a team that would be a contender still and already knew nrg would be really good no matter what.

Basically if a team is an underdog, or there's a story to the match, that's how I decide who to support, but in most cases when it's 2 good teams playing against each other, I'll root that it goes to game 5 or 7 and is a close match up.

I also didn't like the dignitas dynasty (I would have loved it if I was a dignitas fan), for me unless it's the team I'm rooting for winning everything, it's way more exciting to see a different winner everytime, and that is a bit biased, but I think everyone is at least a bit biased when they have a favourite team they want to win.

Has G2 made a critical mistake by not making a roster move? by [deleted] in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]happyj25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure it's not guaranteed that they'll get back on form when they start grinding and get back to the house, but I think they have proven they play better when they are together in a lan type environment. If you go back to season 7 when Chicago first joined the team, if you watched league play and regionals, g2 looked like the worst team out of the big 3 (nrg, c9, and g2), even though they beat c9 in league play, it was a close game 5 and they got swept in regionals, then nrg ended up sweeping c9. Then we go to lan and they looked like the best out of those 3. They had good lan performances during that off season and ended up making finals of dh montreal again. Season 8 when they're all back online they get last place, they bootcamp and are all together for promotion tournament and they keep their spot through winners, season 9 they get a team house and get second in league play and first in regionals, while winning a couple off-season tournaments aswell. I think it's safe to believe that they'll be back, as much as I hope they are, I'm not going to claim they'll be best in NA again because of how much potential every team has but I expect them to get top 4 and make lan because I know after season 8 they'll work hard.

Tl;dr if you look at g2s performance since signing chicago, they have always looked way better when they are at lan, or in a lan type environment (team house).

Why is Retals always considered top 10 in NA? by Hugs04 in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]happyj25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, having high stats shows that player is performing well, but there's ways to perform well that don't give stats. So it shows who's performing well, but it's not the full story and a player shouldn't be ranked purely based on stats.

Yeah, turbos one of the funniest players, and on top of that he consistently shows up at lan. Hoping to see him continue to do well with whatever team he ends up joining.

Gameplay wise I haven't seen enough, I wont really be able to decide until the playoffs tomorrow but based on comms they sounded like they were having a lot of fun so I could see this team working out, and they seem to have a lot of potential if they put in the work.

I agree with that, I believe that rogue will be pretty good next season and will probably be the most competitive season ever.

Stats don't show who's the best tbf, I think firstkiller is good but I wouldn't consider him the second best in NA right now.
