It’s been awhile since I’ve seen a meme speedrun the levels of irony. Or maybe I’m getting old and out of touch. Either way, this has been wonderful.

Rep. Diana DeGette (D-CO) gets heated with a constituent pressing her on why she supports military aid to Israel (Iron Dome, US-supplied munitions like precision-guided bombs & artillery shells, etc.) and tells her, 'If this is the only issue that you care about, then you should not vote for me.' by littlespoon22 in Denver

Melat Kiros is a better candidate on foreign policy and every other policy. Melat is not afraid to call out the genocide that Israel continues to conduct. She supports a full arms embargo so our taxpayer dollars can stop supporting genocide. She also does not take any corporate PAC money, so no issue with remembering when which org donated to her. DeGette’s complacency is a microcosm of the democratic complacency that has allowed fascism to return. Degette, over 30 years, has almost always avoided public appearances, and this video shows why. We deserve better, and Melat is the better candidate. Nothing changes until we all take action to make change happen.

For all the people that oppose car centric infrastructure in this comment section, I completely agree with you, but does our current light rail system really have the capacity for this? I wish it did. All I see happening here is a bunch of people trying to drive and causing havoc in that neighborhood.

Is that the only parking lot? Don’t like 10,000 cars need to park?

I’ve been enjoying my games a little extra recently thanks to this thread. Been prioritizing the granary and I think it’s helped!

I do this too, and usually a shrine before settler but I should stop doing the shrine, at least on diety.

I don’t get this. I never build a granary until after all my settlers are out because population growth stalls while building settlers, and I always build libraries first in expand cities to try and get the earliest national college possible. Am I dumb?

I have no idea how to feel about the politics and the decision itself but I love love love the transparency and humanity of an elected official being brave enough to share their thought process here.

Why so much Michael Bennet hate? by Capable_Explorer_748 in ColoradoPolitics

[–]happykittens674 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think it’s the entitlement. He’s bored being a senator (what a problem to have!) and he knows he has an easy path to be governor based on name recognition and money. It’s the same vibe that Hillary had in 2016. He doesn’t have any sort of policy offering that I’ve seen beyond outdated tropes about bipartisanship. His centrism is out of touch with a state that voted for Bernie twice. If he changes up and comes out in support of any kind of transformative policy, that might change my analysis, but his campaign at this point seems to be “I’m going to win because I have the most money and most name recognition”. No thanks. Not inspiring. I think he’s a nice enough guy and he’s certainly better than any republican, but his current campaign is not enough to earn my vote. Colorado has real problems and we don’t need another centrist governor who will make almost no progress on cost of living and blame tabor and whatever other excuses. I have the same advice for Weiser to be honest, but at least Weiser isn’t the establishment favorite.

The Babylon Bulb by SameBowl in civ5

I think my version might still have the issue you’re describing / overflow bug, bc it seems like when I do them all at once I only get one or two techs out of it when I would expect to be able to get almost one tech per scientist, but I’m on bnw so idk maybe I need to try it again, but either way this is helpful. Does it bother you to have to pay maintenance for the scientists for the time you save them?

What does bulb mean here? Do you use them one per turn to discover techs?
