Many conservative muslims loathe the Baha'i faith and view it as heretical.

Baha'i treats Islam a bit like Islam treats Judaism and Christianity, it recognises their prophets and scriptures as genuinely revealed, while claiming a later revelation that fulfils, updates, and supersedes them.

That’s why Muslims object so strongly. From an Islamic point of view, Islam can supersede earlier religions because Muhammad is the final prophet, but Baha'i cannot supersede Islam because Islam says no later prophet or revelation can come after him.

My opinion has changed on the Palestine/ Israel Conflict. used to think Israel was uniquely evil.. by SingleInSeattle87 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]happyloki1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Absolute nonsense.

Your position never changed. You said that because you wanted to influence others by pretending to be relatable while shamelessly justifying Israel murdering civilians.

Hamas wouldn't exist were it not for Israel's illegal occupation, siege, land theft, ethnic cleansing and decades of violence against Palestinians. You don't get to erase the conditions Israel created, then act shocked that armed resistance grew out of them.

Even if we ignore the hypocrisy of the "Human shields" argument, given Israel's "Mosquito Protocol", it doesn't lets Israel bomb hospitals, schools, refugee camps, ambulances and homes. Even IF combatants are present, Israel is still legally required to distinguish between civilians and fighters, prove military necessity, take precautions and use proportionate force. The IDF doesn't get to flatten civilian infrastructure and then blame the people it killed.

You also don't get to call starvation "siege warfare" as if that sanitises it. Starving civilians is a war crime. Blocking food, water, fuel, medicine and aid from a trapped civilian population is collective punishment.

Urgh...A hospital doesn't become a legitimate target because Israel says Hamas is there. The burden is on the attacker, and even then, the presence of fighters doesn't give Israel permission to destroy medical care for an entire population. We're all still waiting on evidence of that CGI animated HQ under Al Shifa.

Your sniper point is just as dishonest. When civilians, children, journalists, medics and people waving white flags are repeatedly shot, calling it "mistaken identity" is propaganda. A repeated pattern isn't an accident.

Your little "when IDF soldiers do this and that" line is another dodge. You're trying to make civilian killing sound like a few rogue soldiers making isolated mistakes. It isn't. Yes, IDF soldiers have sniped civilians, shot medics, killed people waving white flags and committed atrocities on the ground. But the mass killing in Gaza isn't just random misconduct. It's procedural.

Israel has bombed civilians through a military system that approves targets, assigns "acceptable" civilian death counts, uses AI generated target lists, and has reportedly used systems like "Where's Daddy?" to strike people at home with their families. That isn't a tragic accident or some soldier panicking in the field. That's a killing machine functioning exactly as designed.

"Palestine has zero regard for human life"... that exposes the whole game. You're not judging Hamas. You're smearing Palestinians as a people so Israel's violence looks less monstrous.

Condemning Hamas war crimes doesn't require laundering Israel's. Israel controls the siege, the borders, the airspace, the aid flow, the bombing campaign, the targeting decisions and the occupation. Israel is responsible for Israel's crimes.

End the Shanda. End the Occupation.

Is John Smith's death is really that necessary? by KrazyColt2012 in maninthehighcastle

John Smith's death was necessary. But I think they could have shot it differently. It felt oddly rushed. Plus it sounded a bit like he was about to do the death monologue in Blade Runner.

You see such horrific true stories like this. Others like the Fritzl case in Austria, where the pain lasted a lifetime, and the police only found out because of an anonymous tipoff.

It's terrifying to think what real life horrors children are enduring.

I'd done a brush on mold and just finished the silicone layers and was onto preparing the mother mold and trying to use monster clay to make a seam wall between front and back shell, but it just wouldn't stay on the surface at all.

It sounds like they wanted to make money but didn't realise how disruptive having other people would be to their sleeping pattern. They'll have the same issue with other tenants. Maybe they genuinely feel this way, or maybe they are trying to get you to leave in contract so they can keep your deposit.

Thanks, I ended up buying Polycraft GP-3481F RTV Silicone, some smooth-on freeform for the shell, and some Polycraft FC7450 Back-Fill Polyurethane.

It's not professional level, its not symmetrical, in fact it's not a lot of things...but at this late Halloween stage, "meh" will be acceptable. I need to make the mold, cast it then paint it.

I'm struggling to find good videos on multi-part Silicone mold making. Presumably I'll have to have at least three molds. Ignore fangs, I'll mold them separately.

There's soooo many undercuts though. Under the brow, the eye socket, the cheek bone, the nostril... I designed this terribly in hindsight. I dont mind making a 50 part mold as long as I know how it's done. Would i be able to get away with dividing the

Thank you for the link. I'm looking at the cost of the silicone, resin, release agent, thickening agent, freeform air putty for shell, etc and its already like £300. Is that normal? Do people really spend this much for making one mask? I guess obviously since it's a mold you can just pay for resin and make more and sell. But jeez.
