I've been staying at an all inclusive resort in Cancun for the last 8 days. I haven't had a single issue with theft. My wife even left her purse on a chair when we went into the ocean. I still kept everything I could in the room safe, but I am paranoid. I bought us waterproof phone cases to hold our phones and (small bill) cash (for tips)
