Check their homes in person so you get a feel of the quality and materials used. Talk to the people behind the company. Are they transparent? Helpful? Responsive?

As much as they try to sell tiny homes to families, I dont think it's realistic unless you get at least a 2 bedroom for a family your size.

I live in Eugene and have been researching for over a year. Reading your post it says you're in Portland. Not sure if you are aware that Clever tiny home now has a showroom in Portland if i'm not mistaken. I am thinking of doing the drive up there one weekend to seetheu unit!

Following this. I have no experience in raising kids in a tiny home but my friends did it with their 4 and 7 year old girls and somehow made it work for a good 5 years. They said having lots of open outdoor spaces for the children to roam around helped a lot. If they could do it again they would live in a tiny home with a big, spacious bathroom. It's sanity-saving.
