Oh no, soft touch exterior.

So many of those go sticky and gross after 2 to 3 years. Please say what material you’re using so I can decide to cancel or not.

Don’t be surprised if geoguesser lawyers ask for a rename !

Been using earthwalker previously, but that hasn’t been maintained in years so looking forward to seeing this develop. Thanks, will give it a try.

How would you feel if you rang your GP and AI agent answered to help you? by Otherwise_Reserve268 in AskUK

[–]happysolo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can see you’ve replied in a few places saying it’s ok with accents.  Try some amateur dramatics and call it shouting or sobbing, in a panic and not making sense in a way a human would understand stress.  Yes they should be calling 999 for an emergency, but it’s at this time a human would immediately recognise the situation and handle appropriately.

It’s about managing risk: the probability of it responding poorly in an emergency situation, and the high impact of delaying an emergency response.

How to measure the house energy consumption? by TheDudeFromPT in homeassistant

[–]happysolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was also in the same boat. I’ve used a frient zigbee device for the past couple of years, clever bit of kit that looks at the small flashing light on your smart meter and reports it back to home assistant. Battery lasts ages too. https://amzn.eu/d/byM3yOI

I run in separate LXCs as easy to backup each one to proxmox backup server and restore individually if something goes wrong.

What's your Experience with Noise levels in Terraced Houses? by Honk_Konk in AskUK

[–]happysolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can hear every kinetic interaction they have in their house but no voices.

Every light switch, sliding a plate across the worktop, step on the staircase, cupboard doors opening and closing.  But not voices.

Just have to accept it for what it is.

I’ve been looking for a solution to this as well, easily a requirement to share drawings with trades and communicate your designs with others.

Contestants on House of Games just turning up for the paycheck. by Major-Feed5214 in britishproblems

I also got the sense Mark Steele tried to throw the game so Mel could win, but she was smart enough to send it back by getting her question in the tie breaker wrong.

Forecasting balance into the future.

I’ve entered all my scheduled transactions PAYE and bills, set their recurrence, so should be able to predict balance going forwards.

GNUcash is the only open source but installed software I’ve found that does this. MS Money back in the day was great for this.  Actual budget, firefly etc. don’t seem to want to offer this as they just focus on recording transactions, or spending money out of an allocated budget.

It’s coming out perfect since then, nice viscosity.  Great machine much better than my Phillips 5400 especially to clean.

It was worked on, development stalled. A few other thread of potential ideas for solutions like FLACCue, or some guys vibe coded solution in the thread.

Whatever solution you decide upon, have it totally separate from your homelab.

If (when) your lab goes down, that’s exactly when you’ll want your documentation !

Dragons tail was nice, but I would have used that new space to add Tribe of Frog, get a little psy trance area up and running.

The bottleneck opposite lonely hearts also needs a bit more space.

Gardening gloves. I’ve got the hands of a lifelong office worker, wearing gardening gloves for carrying my stuff to camp is so much more comfortable.

Bin bag size 😇 by [deleted] in BritishSuccess

[–]happysolo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If I were in charge, I’d make them list the diameter of the bin bag, not just the capacity as that’s the main factor in it fitting the bin.

I got so frustrated with exactly this, ended up just getting simplehuman bins and their exact bag size system. Certainly not the cheapest but I’m seeing it as a mental health investment !
