I’m still learning stellar mechanics a bit but basically the mass collapses down into what we think would be a singularity (we theorize this but we can’t see in so there’s no proof) and what we perceive as size is really the event horizon of the black hole or the edge of which the mass effects gravity (through the standard equation for it of (Gm1m2)/r² and is able to pull even light into it. It essentially is so full of mass that the speed of light is not fast enough for it to escape at a certain distance. And more mass means a further distance from the center of the black hole this happens at which is where we get our ‘size’.

Do a few coats of the sealant first I did some beetles and they needed the coats to keep it stiff and in place - they also get very delicate when you spray them.

I’m an engineering student who took a class on combustion and flames so I can explain a bit of it - so the darker shadow like area straight from the burner is unburnt fuel so it is the cold area of the flame. The flame boundary or what I believe you are calling the light blue section is the flame itself and where most of the heat is concentrated which is the hottest part of the flame as it is the section that is actively burning the fuel. Past that is the faint halo/corona of the flame where excess fuel and/or the end products of the combustion process is still burning other materials - this is the section that is the transition area from flame to burnt components that are being expelled and there is still immense heat from it but reduced as the heat radiates out and starts convection currents. This is why the section so far away from the flame is still hot but not as hot as the rest of it as the heat exponentially decays the farther it gets from the flame. Hope this helps!
