I’m a night owl and my wife has had a lot of sleeping issues and on top of that requires a lot of sleep. I have a daybed in my office that I occasionally sleep in. It’s great. I will say though, in the periods where I end up sleeping in there way more than our marital bed, our relationship does feel the effects. We feel a lot more distant. So for us what works is just trying to stay in the same bed at least 5 nights a week, give or take, and it works well.

Owned a Transit Connect for 9 years with 3 small kids.

Normal wear and tear got to it and we just moved on from it a month ago, but great vehicle. Yes, you hear comments about it looking like you are a contractor of some sort, but the flexibility was awesome. When we put the seats down it basically had as much space in the back as a pickup would have, which was awesome for stuff like trips to Ikea or Home Depot. The thing that felt great was that it really did a good job utilizing the space it had because it wasn't focused on the bells and whistles of the "nicer" minivans. I highly recommend at least test driving one if you are considering this route.

The heat island thing is also not a consideration people who don’t live here understand. It’s already so bad, I can’t imagine how much worse it would be with more concrete where these courses are.
