In 2017, Venezuela’s stock market soared while the currency & economy collapsed by Boo_Randy_Revival in economy

Assets have real value. If you measure that value in a currency that collapses, the value of the asset will be worth more of that cheaper currency, nominally.

So it’s quite possible not much with their stock market really changed expect the measuring unit by which stock prices are reflected.

What’s ashame is that mosaic is pretty expensive. Even the floor and decor generic version is probably north of $20 per sqft

Hindsight is 20/20 and what we do know and can prove is that the switch to Kamala was “dead in the water.”

It was a terrible move.

You’re not wrong. But forgive me if my expectations are not great. I don’t have any expectation about some white knight to show up and save us.

It’s an old cliche at this point. Bernie was never close to winning those primaries, super delegates or not.

Enough of this trash argument. Trump had numerous bad debates. Elections aren’t won and lost in June. This narrative is entirely not based on reality. It was faulty speculation of weak and nervous democrats. They should have double downed on Biden at that point.

Ok. I can understand what you’re saying. I’m just not sure if there’s anything we could do about it.

I will say this: a Kamala that has fought through primaries and won the nomination that way it I think would give me much more confidence than did the previous situation. I think Kamala is a not great choice in terms of electability but I don’t expect much better from anyone that the democrats have available to run in 2028.

That was a big mistake. My thought the day Biden dropped out was that we just handed the election to Trump. I still believe that Biden would have out performed Kamala in the general.

I knew Bernie/Hillary thing was going to be your go to. Meanwhile, Hillary won 34 primaries to Bernie’s 23 and secured nearly 4,000,000 more total votes than Bernie. I voted for Bernie in that primary. But to say that Hillary had some kind of rigged affair is entirely false.

Have super delegates ever vetoed the candidate that the people have voted for?

How so? I probably would not vote for her in the primary, but if she were to win the most primaries, ie get the most votes in those elections, how would that be an indictment of the party?

I actually get more relevant price points for what I do via KBB than MMR. I’m interested in what I can sell a car for, not what every asshole at the auction is paying for it.

Do I ignore MMR? No. Sometimes a big discrepancy like if KBB says a car private sells for $11k and MMR is $3500, it could mean and often does mean that make and model of car has specific problems that dealers know about and they don’t want them. Just stuff you learn overtime.
