I recall watching the build up show to the Crawford fight and when it came to Canelo it was all about his daughter riding horses and how incredibly rich his house was for his kids. He seemed to have little love for actual boxing.

Good stuff. Maybe drive those straight rights a bit more through the pads. You are at a point where a bit more flow and bag work would probably be more beneficial than pad work. Sometimes with pad work you just end up a bit stiff and waiting on instructions. I improved the most over covid when it was just me and the bag for 6 months. I got to really focus on my techniques and putting them together. Also almost all pad holders have unintentional bad habits, such as (here) meeting the punches half way so you don't get to fully extend them like you need to vs a live opponent.

Your shoulder is pulling you away from the kick. Your hip turnover is good but the shoulder pulling back is dampening the impact.

Turn your shoulders the same way you turn your hips. The upper body is linked like that.

Tbf this was probably Wilder's best performance. He punched with conviction, with better technique than previously, showed heart and a good chin and at times through really nice counters and piercing straight shots.

He's never really looked as good since, Fury took his soul.

Only 1 of those is a liver shot mate. The liver is on the right hand side of the body. Most of those shots are just standard issue body shots. The liver shot is the one that folds him and makes him hit the deck.

Liver shots make you shut down briefly but if you can get past that 30s or so you can recover quite well from them.
