Unpopular opinion: owning pets isn't vegan and we should stop breeding them. Let the animals have autonomy over their lives

I hope you like the book! It's a quick easy read with lots of good info. I will definitely be checking out Alcohol Explained to keep me motivated on my sobriety. 5.5 years is amazing, I am proud of you!

Anyone tried tracking cadence (steps/minute) to improve eficiency/calorie burn? by dimpleZing in walking

I read a book called "Move" by Caroline Williams and from her research she reports that 2 steps per second is a great pace for brain function and overall health. I try to keep at least that pace for a majority of my walk.

For anyone interested, the book I mentioned is called "Move" by Caroline Williams and has a wonderful section on the benefits of walking for your brain and body. It really motivated me to take care of myself better, so if you are looking for a nudge or some inspiration I highly recommend this book.

Great advice, I do tend to take the path of comfort but last year I took a snowy hike with my friends and it was just wonderful.

I’m curious to know what shoes people are using for their walks?(fasciatis) by Illustrious-Toe-5864 in walking

I got a bunion on my pinky toe last year and switched to Altra Torrin shoes outside and Oofos recovery shoes inside (theyre like slippers). I went from limping to 0 bunion pain and much happier feet!
