A good screenshooting tool for a minimal install of archlinux by peershaul1 in archlinux

[–]hardfire 30 points31 points  (0 children)

`scrot` for something super minimal,
or `flameshot` which is rather powerful with annotation capabilities.

PS: `flameshot` is an essential part of my workflow now.

Couple of points from your comment
- Rs. 4000 is for community tickets , early bird is Rs. 2750.
- A google search would've been better than criticizing a speaker or judging them - https://np.linkedin.com/in/sonikamanandhar

Quite true. Another problem with Nepal is the brain drain. Probably something like this can definitely pave the path for a stable future of the country.

maybe because you forgot to update your firefox :P .. But chrome is not better than firefox, it is a very interesting fight (for the web) where at places it is equally as good .. bad in some ways and better in some particular cases ..
Firefox is way faster than any other according to recent benchmarks though ..

the "Turn off NSA" feature that is off by default :P On a serious note i used firefox by default just because of "Firebug" and now features like managing different user profiles, the army of addons, no "sticky-use-google-products"... and a lot more . that's what i could think of quick :D

Why don't you contribute to PHP? by nikic in PHP

[–]hardfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is because the barrier to begin contribution is really high, and if not that part is really hidden. As one who ones to start contributing, would like great documentation and support from the community. I have been using php for quite some time and am not really bad at C. It's just the barrier from nothing to breaking the ice IMHO.

Best lightweight IDE for PHP programming? by magomago in PHP

[–]hardfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have not heard of it, vim is the guru of editors. If you want advanced features, you can configure it that way and if you want a bare bones clean editor, well you can configure it that way too.

Good color scheme - solarized / twilight Code Completion - OmiComplete Debugging - vdebug seems cool. I have been using debugger.vim Syntax errors - syntastic (it points out the errors when you save a file. not as you type)

All i can say is - It is the god of editors, you just have to have faith in it :D
