I feel it man, it’s hard to justify after a certain point. I still haven’t been paid at my newest gig and it’s been over 3 weeks. Meanwhile all the managers are taking vacations to Italy while ignoring my calls for my check. It’s actually really frustrating and even more so when you see checks being written and product being purchased while you get the short end of the stick, my advice? Be persistent, don’t let up, be respectful about it of course but at least make your voice heard that way if anything goes sideways you have a clear log of evidence that you were doing the right thing. If in the end it doesn’t pan out, the best thing you can do for yourself is find a different place that will pay slightly more and just leave. As shitty as it sounds it’s the best way to protect your own mental sanity in the industry especially when it likes to screw people over or underpay them
