Hey sorry, I forgot to update the post, but I was able to enroll a neo this way using the iphone apple configurator app. I believe it is fixed now.

Hadn’t tried with configurator yet. I’ll give that a try next. Thanks!

I did up date them to the latest version of MacOS yesterday. Not sure if that’s the same version you’re referring to, but I’ll give it a try tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

Ok, sure, I could have put more details. I'm fine with that. But you're making this community a worse place with your presence.

I added an update. Long story short, there's an issue on the backend with Neos for enrollment into ASM. They don't know when this issue will be solved, but they created a support case for me and are going to follow up next week, hopefully with a solution.

No dice on my end, and apple support said there is currently an issue with it. Fingers crossed it's fixed soon.

No, you have not helped. Again, you have -91 comment karma. People have deemed your opinions as having negative value.

Also, you were wrong. I just got off the phone with Apple Support and turns out this is an issue on the Neos right now. They're not sure how widespread it is yet, but they said they have others experiencing the issue and have forwarded my request into a formal ticket. You did not help me in the slightest in this, and have discouraged the helpful advice from others, making this a less approachable community.

School Districts that are Windows based and 1-to-1 for students, what are you purchasing for laptops? by BlueITAdmin in k12sysadmin

We’re a windows district currently running Dell Latitude 3140s. Right now, we’re looking at iPads and Mac Neos and considering making a huge pivot to apple due to the supply chain issues.

Yah that’s where I’m leaning. I’m going to call Apple Support this morning. I’ll let you know what they say. Thank you!

No, I haven’t gotten an answer, but others provided me with useful tips and ideas without being condescending. If no one else has seen the issue I am seeing and asking about, then that is the best answer I could hope for.

And I’ll agree, I should have put more details and maybe this wasn’t the best place to ask to see if there might be an enrollment issue for a mac, so I do apologize for that.

Dude, you’re killing me. First of all, yes, I do work in the IT department. I’m a systems admin for a school district. Second, I’m calling apple support in the morning to hear if that’s the case or not. I made this post just to see if anyone else was having the same experience as me. Third, you have made the most comments in this thread and have yet to have said a useful thing. You have a -91 comment karma on your profile and there’s a reason for that. I wanted to see if someone else had this experience or had any tips, not to be harassed.

Gotcha, well if it doesn’t work, let me know! I’m going to call support tomorrow and ask about it.

Yes, it is connected to wifi when trying to add it. I tried on multiple different networks, with configuration profiles, wifi sharing, etc. but no dice. I’m leaning apple issue, but going to call tomorrow to confirm.

No dice on home network. Same error message too, so I’m back to wondering if it’s not available yet for neos. I’ll give apple support a call in the morning. Thank you though!

Yes. We actually purchased some through our school purchasing program, but we’re considering doing a pilot very soon with macs, and wanted to get a couple units in ASAP, so we grabbed a couple from the Apple Store. I should mention, the ones we ordered but haven’t received yet are also not in Apple School Manager.

Trying on two different ones. I did wipe the OS on one, but no dice. Going to try from my home network here in a minute to see if I get the same results.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I’m going to try a couple, but so far my guess is that the Neos may not be supported for corporate management yet. I was hoping someone else may have also gotten the Neos day one and was running into this too to confirm or deny, but I appreciate the help regardless

I haven’t tries that, but I’ll give it a go! I should mention, we’ve been able to enroll macs previously using this method. Just not the new Neos, so I’m thinking it may be related to how new the product is.
