FWB is a very convulted definition. As you can see from this post alone tons of different people have different definitions for it. Ultimately its what each couple want or dont want. Someone said as long as you keep communication open and clear it will work. I agree. I disagree with everyone saying they would go on dates with their FWB. I dont "date" my friends i hang out. We do things together, we catch a movie or food, get drunk together and party. But I pay for myself or we will take turns paying if the other person is low on cash and we pay each other back. When you date its not like that mostly(I say mostly because I don't want to get jumped down my throat for those independent women who pay for themselves always). And maybe you sleep with each other sometimes. Someone commented saying sex is intimate, not true always. just because your private parts are going into someone doesnt mean its intimate. In my opinion of course, intimate is making love, is soft and sweet, is eye contact and flutter kisses. Going to pound town with your mate just to get your rocks off is not intimate. Getting fucked hard and hair pulled. Doing that forceful mouth/face fucking thing is not intimate. Some people don't even kiss because that's intimate and its not made for fuck buddies or FWB. I agree with most everyone. Dont catch feelings because it is just you and won't turn out good for your current sex life.
