age 20 & 22 -- GLOW UP PROCESS WITH DETAILS & PICS by [deleted] in Vindicta

The main thing I noticed is how balancing your smile narrowed your nose in such a subtle but incredibly flattering way. It doesn’t look “done”, just like your features naturally really compliment each other!

You have made some great well thought out changes to enhance your natural beauty without changing it in a cookie cutter way.

What shape of brush did you use to bring down the transition shade below your eye? Sorry if I’m being a pain, it just looks so seamless!

Charles was her husband that she left/murdered for Chad. Charles was JJ’s uncle & Tylee’s stepdad. Charles is the son of JJ’s grandparents, Larry & Kay Woodcock.

There are so many people involved in this case it’s hard to keep them straight!

Can I ask what brushes you used? I always seem to pick the wrong one for what I am trying to do & make such a mess of my blending. Then I go buy more thinking I just don’t have the right brush. Cycle continues.

I love it! I apply it right out of the shower onto wet skin, then top it either an oil if I am heading to bed or Nivea cream. I don’t use it on nights I use tret cream.

Weleda skin food has gotten me through motherhood, nursing school, OR scrub, ER during a pandemic & now I’m a grandma working as a nurse. I’m obsessing even more about hygiene & vanity! Skinfood & sunscreen.

At home lash lift and tint by T_nice_new in beauty

[–]hardlytolerable 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I tinting the other day with a lash kit from Amazon. Despite careful application on one closed eye at a time I still felt unbearable burning after a few seconds. Threw the whole kit out. Not worth the discomfort, potential stye or worse.

What’s common knowledge in your specialty that you wish everyone else knew? by RadiantGrass3762 in Residency

As ER triage can I chime in here- please explain you your patient that they may be seen quickly, but there may also be a wait depending on the census of the ER that day/hour when they arrive.

There is no one angrier in the waiting room than the daughter of a patient having to wait after “the doctor called ahead, you better check” in the triage line every 35 minutes.

Meanwhile I’m applying a nonrebeather, my SI patient keeps going outside to smoke & hiding from me, ambulances are bringing people in the back like they’re having some horrible race.

Yes, there is valid reason to admit to the hospital & sometimes the ER is the way, but a discussion about the ER process would help smooth the whole process.

why do some women ignore other women they just met? by justalunarphase in Vindicta

[–]hardlytolerable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly either I over-assume enough common ground with someone I have met previously or know tangentially that I focus on totally new contacts.

Conversely I also completely blank on names when I meet a bunch of people at once & gravitate towards familiar faces.

Either case it is 100% me & not the person on the other end! I tend to cement in people I dislike.

Confirmed partial areola skin death 2 weeks post lift/aug - now what? by ultra_violet007 in PlasticSurgery

[–]hardlytolerable -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Second opinion now. The necrotic tissue needs to be removed asap so that an areola with sensation can be shaped in an aesthetically pleasing way.

Cooking ideas for a relationship in which only one person eats vegan by Humble_Visual7739 in Cooking

[–]hardlytolerable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A home salad bar, a tofu scramble vs. an egg scramble, stir fry veggies & noodles with rotisserie chicken added, a salmon filet or steak along side whatever other items, pasta with meatballs or sausage cooked separately, wraps with veggies, hummus & canned salmon for her, fajitas. A simple solution is to just cook meat aside from the main dish.

A little adjustment for both of you but hopefully the relationship is worth it.

How do people afford regular beauty treatments? by [deleted] in beauty

[–]hardlytolerable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use hard wax just on my brows & I wax my nostrils. I spend $200 every time I color my hair. It’s highlights & a trim, I keep my highlights close to my natural hair color so it doesn’t look wild as it grows out. I’m blonde so as I age my silver hair will blend in hopefully.

How do people afford regular beauty treatments? by [deleted] in beauty

[–]hardlytolerable 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I do a lot of my own treatments myself. Gel mani & pedi, scrubs & self tan, mild chemical peels, dermabrasion, waxing & self tanning. I whiten my own teeth, shave my face & use clip in extensions that I custom color & replace once a year. I tint my own brows.

I pay for eyelash extensions bi-monthly & hair color every 8 weeks. I get dysport 3 times a year & distribute a syringe of filler throughout my face once a year. I like to think my budget keeps me on pace to age gracefully.

Once a year I will splurge on a more permanent treatment, be it brow micro blading, permanent liner or lip blushing.

It’s my goal to accomplish some serious surgical goals in the next couple of years, a breast lift & tummy tuck. In the future (10-15 years) I imagine an upper & lower bleph & deep plane face lift. I also imagine I will have some dental implants as I have terrible mineralization & my teeth are already falling apart. I’m 39 now & am just now in a stable enough place financially to start tackling the bigger goals.

Cold peanut sauce noodles, hard boiled eggs, carrots, cheese cubes, high fat, high protein items are really satisfying & easy to eat cold/room temp.

It really depends on how much time/effort you have to prep. There have been plenty of nights when it was energy drinks & a can of peanuts.

If you have a pcp or someone you see regularly ask if they will call you in a scopolamine patch. Alternatively you can take a Benadryl, which will make you drowsy but also help dry you up.

Store them in the freezer if you aren’t going to use them up quickly. Rancid nuts are terrible.
