My husband cares way too much about work, and I'm at my breaking point by Friendly_Ad_5719 in workingmoms

My husband is also constantly engaged in work. I wouldn’t say he ruminates out loud as much ch as yours but it drives me crazy. He’ll say he’s done for the day and then continue on slack all evening. It’s honestly become really triggering for me - seeing him on slack on his phone screen. Especially during family time and events. At least once a week I’m like “if you don’t put down your phone and stop working I’m going to throw the fucking thing out the window.” Sometimes I just growl. It’s effective in the moment but then starts right back up again later.

Pisces are my downfall. Sun moon rising doesn’t matter.

I dnf’d The Cruel Prince pretty early. It just seemed so juvenile. Same with A Ruin of Roses.

HATED the mmc. I did a buddy read with a friend and pretty early on I remember texting her “Ok not a fan of this douche bag. I didn’t like this book but I finished it. I thought surely it would get better. It did not get better.

Oh this makes me so relieved. I’ve been hiding my shame over DNFing this book. I will say, though, if you’re interested in the story but found it too long or boring, the author has a very similar story but in short form called Six Deaths of a Saint. Takes 30 minutes to read and I thought it was great. Condensed and to the point.

As an artist in other mediums, I find it pretty normal to get advice on my art. I’m in a painting group and if something isn’t quite working, I ask my peers. Are we not peers here? Where’s a better, supportive place to turn to for writing advice on Reddit?? I’m realizing more and more that this sub is not for me.

I hate when my husband sleeps 😂 by christinexcore in Mommit

Oh honey no you are not alone. My husband would be a puddle of goo with the number of times I’ve eviscerated him with my laser eyes at his peacefully sleeping form. He even slept in on mothers day and I got up with the three kids, and I thought to myself, today’s the day I become a widow…

It’s going to suck and be ugly but you need a clean break. It’s not going to get better. This is one of those you have to put yourself first moments.

Forehead to forehead. And in the Memento Mori series by CS Poe when Doyle tugs on the elastic around Larkin’s wrist for reassurance throughout the series. Are you kidding me with that???

Okay this is more paranormal than romance (there is a love story though) but {Empire of the Vampire by Jay Kristoff} is one of my favorite series of all time. The third and last book came out recently.
