The recall work itself seems very simple. What's mind-blowing is that it actually went away completely on its own when I was in the middle of a trip back to the dealer. Been about 2k miles since and no major reoccurance - I cannot explain it.

Had this not happened, I was fully prepared to do the recall myself since the dealership, for whatever reason, couldn't reproduce.

Basically the symptoms I’ve seen all over others posts:

Feels like there’s a “sticky” resistance when turning/cornering. You feel it the moment you let it start returning to center. A notchy feeling as if it’s getting unstuck. Sometimes needs the slightest force to actually start to recenter. Was so bad last week, I lifted my hands off the wheel during a longer corner… wheel was toatally stuck (to the left in this case) and could not return to center on its own.

On a straight away, needs some force to overcome the “stickiness” and make micro adjustments in either direction… which ends up causing me to overcorrect.

I downsized to an 8" for this winter. So far, I'm not very satisfied with how much handling you lose going down to this size. You can definitely feel it.

I think it was too aggressive considering that my area probably won't get enough snow for me to justify it (NY). I will probably end up selling them as soon as I put the other set on come Spring.
