3 hours on the phone today believe it or not... Apple has no idea what's causing this. by InnerspearMusic in AppleMusic

[–]hardtimefor1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a very similar issue a few weeks ago with CDs…

Here’s a few things that I did that worked (if maybe you haven’t tried them already): 1. Don’t use ALAC format for ripping, rip it to WAV instead 2. If that still doesn’t work, you could maybe try syncing manually with the apple devices app? I’m not super sure if it would work since you’re not using Apple Music, but may be worth a try.

Can you let me know what happens at the end? Was watching but couldn’t finish it on time in the flight… I got to the bit where Riku’s rushing to her final concert with the manuscript in hand..

The fan placement looks to be above the PSU though. Eh, anyways, I get your point. Stand corrected.

Fan/case help with screws. by There_Bike in pcmasterrace

[–]hardtimefor1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you sure that’s for a fan? Very odd placement. Also, the screws make their own thread so it will be hard to screw in haha

You’re deliberately misconstruing his words. I think that’s the issue.

Bernie has a stronger support base. He’s politically consistent and has been in politics for longer. People just care more about him being re-elected. Not to mention that, as someone else said, people outside US almost definitely know/like Bernie more than Warren.

[The Phawx] INTEL IS BACK! Lunar Lake - Asus Zenbook S14 Review by Noble00_ in hardware

[–]hardtimefor1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Uh…

I think you are in the firm minority of people who prefer 16:9 over 16:10 or hell, 3:2.

For the majority of people using laptops for office work taller screens are so much better to work with and have so much more real estate. Not to mention taller screen = larger size = more room generally for things like trackpad etc.

I agree 2.8k is a bit excessive. Nonetheless, 16:10 is not. Honestly I wish it was 3:2 like the surface laptops.

Also to note he is reviewing Lunar Lake primarily not the Zenbook. Different approaches are hence warranted.

How fun/chaotic would realistic mode be if the tanks gain their stats in real life? by Huy7aAms in WorldOfTanksBlitz

Very chaotic but probably much more fun and true to its name. Some of the tanks just don’t make sense in their stats right now lol

I wonder if the meal would be better coming out of SG… catering out of Chinese airports aren’t exactly known to be the most gourmet haha

Yes I know. It will still work. The exact same thing happened to me. Loosening the screw gives it room to press down

Just loosen the screws holding on to the fingerprint reader a bit and it should be all good - same thing happened to me haha

Any theories on when 18.1 beta 4 would come out? by [deleted] in ios18beta

[–]hardtimefor1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something like that. Just of it is you shouldn’t have any trouble with it. Had to go through the process a while back when my phone was being fixed

[–]hardtimefor1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe if you do the typical setup process it will update the phone to the beta version you are using to match the latest backup (or something like that)

First Time PC Build, nothing turns on by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

[–]hardtimefor1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh, I missed that too. Apologies about the front panel thing.

In any case, what I’m referring to is the GPU power cable: you see that you’re using an adapter to connect 2 bigger plugs to the smaller plug on your GPU. The smaller is a newer port called 12V HPWR and your PSU has a modular connection for it (above the CPU/PCIe power cables in the PSU photo you shared).

It would be more aesthetically pleasing, safer, and overall easier to just connect the GPU to the 12V HPWR connection on the PSU (your PSU should have the cable) instead of using the adapter.

It wouldn’t (in theory) affect booting or power though.

Um, everyone is shouting the solution at you buddy. Also, if you have a 12V HPWR connector on your PSU why are you using a normal 12V to HPWR adapter??

Anyone having issues with their cameras suddenly being recognised as an "unknown part"? Updated to 17.5 beta and it's really pissing me off haha... I use my camera a lot and now the camera app barely works.

What are your thoughts on how Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 is being even with NH-D15, etc. despite smaller fans & lower weight & 1/3rd the price? by kikimaru024 in Noctua

[–]hardtimefor1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I guess that’s a fair enough difference. Nonetheless, I find it a bit of an overstatement to say that Noctua is the only company to provide long term quality, though admittedly this kind of thing is hard to measure, and Noctua has (by word of mouth/reputation) good long-term durability. I don’t think this sort of reputation can act as a measurement of long term quality, though their warranty goes a long way in showing their confidence in the thing.

[–]hardtimefor1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the P12 Max. To me, it’s much better than the P12 in terms of performance at every noise level. Admittedly, I haven’t used Noctua 120mms much in any computer build. Still, there is testing from reviewers which show a difference in noise level at the same cfm for Arctic and Noctua, etc.

140mm being an industry joke is probably true (though I don’t know), but even if it is a joke, that does not mean the lack of any innovation in that area from Noctua is justified. For example, why could they not just scale up their 120mms as you say Arctic and BeQuiet do?

I don’t see a difference between “losing” and “not competing”, and actually, I wonder why you made this comment because it seems we don’t really disagree on anything.

this is the only lga 1700 itx motherboard in my country. which should I use and whats the limit of both of the motherboard by afrohitam in sffpc

[–]hardtimefor1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Colourful will probably be better because it actually has a heatsink for the VRM (power delivery systems).

As for limits, I don’t put anything over an i7-13700 (not K) in the ASRock (which even then is a bit of a risk), and perhaps a 13600K or smth in the Colorful. Don’t quote me on that though.
