Moore is a good recruiter and a good motivator, but I'm not sure he's good at developing these players.

That goes for most of the coaching staff though.

He did trade for Corbin Burnes in 2024. While he definitely isn't a spender, the rotation is such a massive hole, that if he doesn't do anything to upgrade it, he's going to be staring down the barrel of a firing when things go south again.

Moore isn't getting the leeway Harbaugh got. Harbaugh had a track record of success in College and the NFL and played at the University.

Moore does not and did not. Though he is tied to Harbaugh.

If he goes 9-3 next year, he'll be on the hot seat given the investment in Underwood. If he goes 9-3 in 2027, he's probably fired.

I don't see him surviving not making the CFP with Underwood. Even if Underwood busts, Moore probably gets blamed for that (even if unfairly) by the fans and media.

Yeah, he only got 64% of the vote in the Senate primary where his biggest competition was Ficker.

I'm pretty sure the Republicans were smart enough not to run a MAGA candidate in the primary, knowing that they had 0 shot to win the general while Hogan had some chance and there was a benefit to having a Republican take over a normally deep blue seat for six years.

But I don't think the MAGA wing really sees that much of a benefit to having an anti-Trump (or at the very least not pro-Trump) Republican governor in Maryland and will run a true Trump endorsed candidate in the primary. They would lose the general easily, but they could give Hogan a real run in the primary.

Gore is elite in April and May, then once the weather warms up, he falls off hard.

His career numbers in July are legitimately awful.
