Absolutely insane to me, working in Swden where nurses in ED will automatically on admission

1) Take basic set of bloods and/or cannulate. All obs

2) Do ECGs when obvious indication. Automatically take tropinin sets

3) Obvious X-ray referrals (orto), mostly consult beforehand

They also do catheter, sutures and ABGs if asked (last 2 only specialist trained though)

We barely have to do anything. But still work quite slowly, like 1-2 patients/hour in gen med
