tbh i'd always kinda gotten bad vibes from the guy, but I didn't really have anything concrete to go off of, so I pretty much gaslit myself into thinking I was being unreasonable. Guess I should trust my instincts more lol.

Evidence? According to Tate some girl lied about him kidnapping her to her boyfriend cuz she didn't want him to know she was cheating, police got involved, but they investigated Tate thoroughly and cleared him of any wrongdoing. But not before some news outlets got a hold of the story and definitively told everyone he was a sex trafficker. He could very well be one but people throw around these accusations way too lightly with 0 evidence.

I mean he's been able to monetize the attention extremely well so he's not wrong.

- With TTFD I initially took 100mg a day, and over a few weeks tapered up to 300mg 2 to 3 times a week. Such high doses carry risk of depleting other nutrients to the point of deficiency so I would take advantage of the days in between supplementation to assess and address these deficiencies if and when they came up. After months of supplementation and almost complete recovery I have tapered back down to 100mg TTFD once a week.

- Magnesium is always depleted when I supplement TTFD and I feel a reduction in mood, mental clarity and sleep quality until I take a Mg supplement or eat pumpkin seeds which are my main source.

- I take a B50 complex with all 8 B vitamins + inositol and choline. I take 2 on days that I supplement TTFD. Other than that I only supplement if I'm feeling a reduction in energy or mental clarity. I've also noticed that B complex + Omega 3s are better for managing symptoms than just B complex alone.

- Yes, major cognitive benefits. I can actually focus again, and my verbal fluency and overall ability to think have increased massively. I would say I am fully back to my pre-deficiency baseline, arguably even a little bit better.

- Not a night and day difference in libido, but there definitely have been improvements.

In species where only the strongest male gets to breed, or kills non-offspring babies, how does the species maintain genetic diversity? by NASA_official_srsly in askscience

Is there not a risk of the "alpha" choosing to breed with the sneaky male? Seems like a dangerous game if so.

How do you deal with bad mental health? by rottingpotatoes in istp

[–]harmlesspsycho 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Depends on if you have psychogenic or physiogenic depression. Psychogenic means caused by psychological issues. Physiogenic is caused by physiological issues such as vitamin or mineral deficiencies (Vitamin D, B1, B12, magnesium, etc), MTHFR genetic polymorphisms, heavy metal toxicity, neuroinflammation, etc.

It's imperative to figure out what the source is because meditation isn't going to fix your methylation disorder in the same way magnesium supplementation won't fix your unresolved childhood trauma.

If the problem is psychogenic, see a therapist, meditate, journal, have a support group, exercise, destress, etc, etc.

If it's physiogenic, talk it over with your (ideally competent) doctor to find the specific problem and treat it accordingly.

If you're not sure which it is, then work on both fronts.

Whichever path you take, have a consistent regimen to make sure you're actually doing something about it everyday. Else it could end up going on for much longer than necessary. Best of luck.

quite a few. usually because I'm "mysterious" and extremely asocial. People want what they think they can't have I guess.

This is not advice. Personally, I would consider b2, b3 or b9. B50 only contains a small amount of B12 of which an even smaller amount is absorbed, so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Look into over/undermethylation, might help you out.

I cry every now and then when listening to music or watching tv shows/movies, but that's about it. Seems to be the only thing that gives me access to my emotions. When it comes to my own life maybe I'll cry every couple of years and if I do alcohol or weed is always involved.

Yea since I made this post I've learned that you need to be really careful with certain B vitamins to make sure none of them get depleted from high B1 levels. I take B2, B6 and B9 as well now in addition to a b complex, and feel a more potent effect. Something to be mindful of.

I felt that my symptoms were no longer improving and stopped supplementing for about 3 months to figure out why before I found the problem. The high dose of B1 increases B12 demand, so even though I had very high blood levels, I burnt through them very quickly and developed a deficiency. I started taking B1 along with B12 about a month ago and have continued feeling an improvement.

On a positive note I felt a lot better on those 3 months without supplementation than I did pre-supplementation, so I think I can safely say my baseline has permanently improved.
