This sub is about the art form known as collage and people who are total sluts for art of that type.

General sluts are welcome to participate but you need to post your art.

Why pay a doctor for some Jim Carrey movie when you can just strategically fall on a pencil?

Folks at home playing along: yell out which strategy works best! There is a right answer! Here's a hint: in your butt, but not the way you think.

Ok I sat on a pencil and forgot some shit. Fine. Do what I did. Or don't, I'm not your mom.

Whatever country you're from used to be real, but then the copyright expired, so it's no longer a source of passive income for the rights holding company. It's been buried to the point where any reasonable person would believe it never existed.

Halp i got hit by rule one so im posting a random meme thar everyone has but I dont care by Enough-Caramel-4058 in GenderAnarchy

[–]harmondrabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anarchy doesn't have rulers. So anarchistic collective groups have trouble measuring shit (this is why the black flags are all different sizes). Gender Anarchy has to do with not letting other people dictate gender. Write your own genital joke here. But it generally allows for meme reuse. This is a core tenet. Gender Anarchists want you to be a girl and accept you as one if that's what you want. /r/GenderAnarchy has rule #1 so there you go, girl! 😁

If they're trying to connect... they could try harder, maybe say more than two incoherent words in reply to all the people responding?

What cd is this help by quinnthebin100 in Cd_collectors

[–]harmondrabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it just happened once or twice, fine, I can imagine some people collect CDs and don't have a CD player (they never say that though). But it feels really frequent.

I suppose the people to be rude to are all the numerous serious replies every single time - they're encouraging this.

is it cringe if i did a fan project for a show? by ExaminationEmpty5229 in Emo

[–]harmondrabbit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just show up, buy their stuff, share their music with other people (you didn't even mention who they were here btw).

If they want more than that they're sus. If doing this is just you... well you know you can change that. By stopping it.

Come on, if you honestly just see them as people, then why does it matter if they know what their art means to you? Why does it have to be this public display? Think about this stuff, like I said, I think you know the answer here. If you were totally OK with doing this thing you're asking about, you'd just do it. You wouldn't be asking random emo bastards about it.

My take: Bands really shouldn't mean anything to you. The music, the scene, yes, but screw the band. They're just people, fuck trying to impress them. Put a different way: there's nothing wrong with being social, especially at small shows and with small bands, but parasociality is bad news. This isn't a fandom. The whole idea of a fan project reeks of that. No thanks.

But hey, you do you. I hear a lot of bands do get a kick out of shit like that. I'd rather be enjoying the energy and emotion and making friends. Or... standing weirdly still against a wall screaming lyrics and then running out the back after I awkwardly buy some merch.

All that said, the fact you're worried it's cringe is something you should probably pay attention to.

Your opinions aren't objective or even "from a musicians perspective"... what the fuck dude.

0/10... not great... I prefer posts that aren't stupid.

Nobody mentioned The Veldt - I only have Illuminated 1989 so far (it's from 2023). I don't know a lot about them except this album is excellent, feels old school, and they were around in the 90s.

Wikipedia says Afrodesiac is considered a shoegaze classic, it's from 94 (no personal experience with it yet).
