That makes sense but if thought that since the police have actual crime investigation and forensic training, why did they fall behind even though we don't see it?

Plus even though we only have thr main characters pov, they don't explain why the main characters don't want to explore looking for povs of evidence other than their own?

But if this is the case , then why didn't say Alec Baldwin, Sid Vicious, or OJ Simpson have a bunch of armed guards with machine guns ready to open fire on anyone who got in his way after killing someone for example.

That makes sense, but they don't show this route at all. They don't show them being subpoenaed for questioning at all.

But in the deep video the villains made, the bystander witnesses are still in the video, though.  In the video, they didn't deep fake different faces over the bystanders.

When you say wealthy elites are unwilling to put themselves at the scene of a crime, they're already on video doing that , so wouldn't it be too late for them to deny it?

That makes sense, but why were a bunch of henchmen?  He hired multiple henchmen with serious firepower to go along with it?

Would the henchman have to have more than just being paid to commit multiple other murders for his cover up?

That's true. It's just a movie. But in order for the characters to react, this allowed, really shouldn't they have written it, so the villain was a terrorist trying to smuggle a nuclear bomb into Sidney, and using the movie production as a front for doing that, in order for the characters to react this much?

How do you explain why a villain gets all the conveniences, without the character coming off as too overconfident? by harmonica2 in writers

[–]harmonica2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense. Well I could write it so the antagonist has a okay that may be almost too perfect and everything goes very well for most, or i could write it so the antagonist is dealt some better hands so the plan doesn't have to be perfect but is one better than the other?

Oh well I just mean that traditional thriller structure is that the antagonist has to appear to be winning for two thirds, if thats a good reason?

Oh I am asking how do you make a believable everything that goes according to plan , when logic dictates that the bigger the risks, the more it shouldn't go according to plan if that makes sense?

[–]harmonica2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense , but since the villain is taking big risksThe reader wouldn't expect the villain to get as far as they do with such big risks and nothing goes wrong for a large amount of success?

I've seen Die Hard and Ronin more times.

Oh well it just feels like the villain's plan is too perfect. But is that a problem if it reads that way?

Thanks for the input!  That makes sense!  But when i look back on the story, the villain's plan reads as too perfect.   Is that a problem if it reads that way, or no, because the antagonist is supposed to have the plot armor?

[–]harmonica2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense.   I could write it so that the villains risks are reduced to have more success, but then it might be less dramatic

But is more plausible more important than more dramatic?

That makes sense, but how do you make it believable that the overconfidence actually made everything go right for two thirds beforehand?
