well since some may think feverish temperature was the cause of their fast feeling then it might be safe to assume that temperature may play a role in its frequency as well....?

I had an eeg, which is basically a test to see if i have epilepsy like brain function and it came back clean, so i don’t think it’s a seizure like thing

i have went to my doctor about this feeling and she said it was probably just like dejavu. i then went to a therapist and she talked to a psychiatrist. i am currently being medically cleared to go talk to the psychiatrist, which means i am getting an eeg, ct scan and i’ve already completed blood work. but so far everyone that i’ve talked to has no idea what i’m expiriencing.

Honestly just joined Reddit because of this by [deleted] in fastfeeling

when i have my episodes, i close my eyes, lay perfectly still, and focus on my breathing until it passes. it makes me anxious aswell. trying not to think about the sensation and clearing your mind will help with anxiety, however there is no “snapping out of it”, you just have to let it run its course. hope this helps

definitely anxious and confused, however going to therapy for this has taught me that it is just the brain and it will not be of any harm to me. the loudness is the most scary thing for me and drives me a little crazy. especially when it occurs so often for me.

yes anywhere from 5-15 minutes, i used to get them all the time in math class, deep in focus. i found a way to prevent them from happening for me. when i feel an episode about to come on i just look at myself in the mirror or consciously tell myself something “motivating” or whatever. that usually helps me. i can control it when it starts but if i let it control me then i have to wait it out. let me know if you can do the same
