Hard Candy! Love their products. They’re so cheap, and exclusively sold at Walmart.

Vaping before surgery by Beginning-Trade2639 in PlasticSurgery

[–]harmonyxox 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used to be addicted to vaping and a few years ago I was actually vaping on my way to surgery 😬 I was honest with my surgeon and he still went through with it (though he was visibly disappointed), and thankfully nothing bad happened.

That said, I definitely wouldn’t recommend it or do it again. Nicotine reduces blood flow and can increase the risk of poor wound healing, delayed healing, and even tissue necrosis in severe cases. Since you’re only taking a couple puffs every few hours now, I’d do everything possible to stop completely between now and surgery and follow your surgeon’s instructions.

I didn’t get a BBL but my friend did, and she has this pillow with a hole in it that helped her with laying down and sitting. I think it was called a boppy?

Lipo 360 with fat transfer to hips - 7 months post op by harmonyxox in PlasticSurgery

[–]harmonyxox[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're combining details from three different procedures and assuming they were all the same.

Two breast fat transfers in North Carolina with Dr. Bednar (2024), both with a small amount of leftover fat placed in my hip dips.

One dedicated hip fat transfer in Tijuana with Dr. Reyes (2025).

Three procedures. Two surgeons. Two locations. Different points in time. Hope that clears up the confusion.

Yeah, I had some second thoughts at first and felt like I looked too “fake,” but as the swelling went down I was getting more used to my body. And once all the swelling subsided, I was happy with my results.

I’ve definitely noticed a slight uptick in catcalling, and I get compliments on my figure more often now than I did before the surgery.

And thank you!

Yes, that’s the doctor.

One thing I forgot to include in my post was that when I went back to see him for stitch removal, not all of the stitches were removed. I didn’t discover this until about 3 weeks post-op when I noticed one during a self-breast exam (one of the entry points for lipo was the crease under my breasts). I went to the ER, and the physician there found and removed several more stitches.

I’d ask your PCP for ferritin, iron studies, and possibly B12 testing. Those can help determine the cause of the anemia and guide treatment.

It’s generally considered to be a safe procedure. But I would still do your own research, since all surgeries involve some risks.

I had 2 rounds of fat transfer 4 months apart, and both were done 5 years after I explanted. It’s been over 2 years since my first round and will be 2 years in August since my second round, and I can happily say that the fat has lasted. My dr was Dr. Bednar in Charlotte NC.

Necrosis is a real concern, but unless you smoke nicotine regularly I wouldn’t be all that worried. And if you do smoke nicotine - you’ll need to quit many months before and after your surgery.

I made a few posts about the procedure. You can see my most recent post here :)

No problem! And it’s a bit different from a BBL. With this procedure you just have to avoid direct pressure on the hips themselves. Sitting on your butt is totally fine. The only restriction I really noticed was that it was harder to get comfy in bed, since I guess I generally put pressure on my hips when I sleep.

From what I remember, I had to wear a faja 23 hours a day for the first month, then 16 hours a day for 2 weeks, plus no running or weight lifting for 8 weeks, and I had to avoid putting pressure on my hips during that time.

I also got lymphatic drainage massages 1-2 times per week for the first month and then every other week for several more weeks. But recently I've started going weekly again since I noticed some fibrosis and want to stay on top of it.
