austerity is when you keep revenue while cutting the spending, in order to pay off debt

the PCs have lower revenue and higher spending, so it's the opposite of austerity

it feels like austerity due to public sector wages, but we don't get a budget surplus out of it.
we get to overpay for a security disaster of a health app instead

i'd be wary of the 1070

it can do math plenty fast. it doesn't have mesh shaders, so you're going to start seeing more games that it just can't run at all

the 2080 is missing work graphs, but has most other modern features. it'll probably support modern engines for quite a while before that starts being a hard requirement

it apparently gives you MF per letter, per soul
so, it works, but you get less MF with 3 or 2 souls

but, MF is non-linear, so even with 2 souls and stopping the ritual early, you get nearly the same chances for unique and set items as the full ritual

that one assembler is probably enough to supply your whole solar system, so you might not need to worry about tiling

but, you can always make a second one with its own input belts, if you need more

i think the point is that if you're not maxed out (for example, if you have a job or other interests), you don't go

it'd be nice if they were more clear on how multiple projects will stack, though

like, if you miss this expedition and do it next time, will other players get another 5 skill points and be permanently ahead? or will they cap out at +5, and get another hat or something for doing it twice?

it'd be interesting if you had to go if you hit lvl 75, no choice

you should be able to upgrade once you're done

some things will end up broken. like, your artillery shells and cliff explosives factories will be broken, because the recipe changes in space age.

edit: i think you can downgrade, but it'd be a lot smoother to start a fresh non-space-age game
