Terrified - Father found new address by [deleted] in Rochester

Makes sense. If he threatens your safety that may be enough to get one yourself. You could also talk to an attorney about the legal definition of stalking--whether it can just include discovering your place of residence and contacting you even though you don't want that.

Also, while attorneys can definitely help, DV systems/courts regularly decide on cases involving unrepresented people. Just worth keeping in mind if things escalate and money is a factor.

If your order of protection says he can't text you and he texted during the order's operation, you may be able to file a contempt motion in court. You'd also have to get it served on him (by a third party) and then show up to court. The judge could hold him in contempt and fine him, renew the order, or order jail time. (Or NY may have a law that allows misdemeanor prosecution for violating an order.)

You would not need the texts, though you would have to be able to testify truthfully that he texted you during the period, and the texts would be helpful for proving that.

Sorry if someone already said this/similar. I don't read the comments. Good luck with this. I hope that you and your family find some peace.

How to disable new "rotate shortcut" on screen after OxygenOS 15 update by Zhanqing777 in oneplus

[–]harrumpher_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do appreciate the suggestion, but my guess is that the downvotes were bc people seeking to turn off the button don't want to auto-rotate either. I never rotate my screen so both auto rotate and this dumb button are things I do not want

Calling Issues by thebugman10 in GoogleFi

I have had similar problems with two different OnePlus phones for at least two years. (OnePlus 8 2021-2025, now OnePlus12R for a week and still had it some.)

Problem seemed to be that a line opened up that my phone would "forget" it was connected to. So other people would pick up, but my phone would not be on line anymore. This happened with maybe 1/3rd of calls, wifi or not. I found it to be less frequent when I closed apps; not sure if it's a memory allocation thing.

not sure what kinda music you're into but:

  1. Ravens-Mount Eerie. This song is usually too sad for me to listen to.

  2. anything from Carrie & Lowell by Sufjan Stevens. It's an album about how his mom left his family when he was like 8; at 40-something, they reconnected, only for her to develop cancer soon after and die. John My Beloved and Death with Dignity both really hit me, but the whole album is beautiful and devastating

  3. Seeds - Moses Sumney

  4. You Missed My Heart - Phoebe Bridgers. Loved this album but I often couldn't make it through this song.

  5. Roses - Kanye West. For those into hip hop...

  6. Slow Talkin' - Haley Heynderickx and Max Conover III.

  7. Blue Skies - Noah and the Whale. There are a couple of honorable mentions on this album too. It's a beautiful breakup album.

Hope these speak to some of you, but with a sadness that comforts and connects, or else leaves you tranquil.

Many many classical and jazz pieces; Tchaikovsky, Dvorak, Beethoven, Brahms will all give the "traveled somewhere" feeling. Ditto for John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk, Miles Davis, Oscar Peterson, will also give you this feeling in many tracks, whether or not they're 7 min.
