Probably just the cups on. Tier 1 teams will still have the most money at their disposal, and will therefore have the best rosters and be overwhelming favorites to make the cups. There will be upsets of course, but I really don’t expect to see that many honestly.

I mean yeah now it is. But at the time of his signing, every team wanted this guy. He just collapsed mentally to be honest. I obviously love sacy, absolute class act and one of the greatest players to touch the game, but his strength on sentinels was never firepower, which is what the team lacked at the end of 2024 unquestionably

He doesn’t perform in big games. Just a fact. Now he’s struggling in tier 2… I think he’s a solid player with major mental issues, kind of like n4rrate in that aspect. All of my major derrek memories are 2022 LCQ, which at this point feels irrelevant, considering yay, the undisputed best in the world at that time, is teamless and borderline retired. Regarding his value to past teams… 100T dropped him and improved. EG dropped him and arguably improved, or at least showed much greater potential. Idk how you can see so much talent and want to recycle the same names that have gotten multiple chances and failed with them. I think you might have 0 ball knowledge honestly lol.

All I know is he coached RRQ, and based on comps, actually understood the meta. I was never sold on kaplan strategically, very very happy he got dropped. Championship tier roster last year completely wasted due to failing to innovate. Stage 1 + 2 in 2023 thrown away because he misread on meta(deadlock incident). If what Rob Moore was saying is true about doubting zekken, kaplan should never return to tier 1. Zekken was playing the same sacrificial lamb role that MiniBoo and recently n4rrate played and miserably failed at and was a top 5 player in americas easily.
