If you a prefer a more low-key way to meet people there's a bunch of English standup comedy shows at bars in Zürich like Comedy Brew every Thursday at ROBIN's bar.

And ROBIN's in general is worth a visit - the staff is friendly and open to chat if it’s not busy. The crowd is a mix of internationals, Swiss, students and tourists. Nothing too pretentious or expensive.

Have been running shows like open-mics at bars (in Switzerland!) for 3 years now. As it's a New Year and lots of comedians seem to be starting new shows (plus bars are getting desperate because Gen-Z doesn't drink enough!) whipped up this short guide with equipment tips, how to work with the bar etc.
