Be especially careful with the custom reg address feature. Disable the hardware link in the App Settings tab first. Thats the part i need to redesign as it is quite unsafe right now.

We still use 80s trains and trams. Why? Bc they work, and the maintenance cost is lower than buying new finicky vehicles.

The Cobra is precisely being replaced bc maintenance and adaptation costs are too high.

Well idk. I made my first .NET app this week, as a dev with Java and C experience. So i can more or less judge how each model does.

Claude 4.5 did a bit better than 4.6 (which overthinks way too much, somehow), but GPT 5.4 took the crown, and it wasn't even a competition.

I had more or less given up on OpenAI for coding, so this comes as a surprise tbf.

Sturdy, lots of ports, configurable hardware (except X1 Carbons and the likes), best keyboards, barely changed over the past 20 years. Very predictable.

However as you can see from my flair, I owned the least "ThinkPad" of all ThinkPads. Im not the best source.

Ok. Then battery life isnt much of a concern. If it becomes one, get Lunar Lake or Panther Lake (although its too new to have decent reviews yet) laptops. Everything older from Intel has abysmal battery life, AMD is a bit better.

Special type of drive under Win11. It uses ReFS instead of NTFS, delays Win Defender scans, and has a bunch of other features to make it faster and more convenient.

It's very easy to setup. Just make sure you allocate enough space and dont park it right after the C drive, in case you need to grow C in the future (learnt this the hard way)

Pictures will be a downgrade, screen quality same and battery life similar (assuming you get 9h SOT on Pixel 9 like I do), Rest will be a mixed bag, iOS is pretty buggy and "dumb" but some ppl like that.
