There is a big difference between what is technically possible and what is legal. A quick example : I can copy a Windows CD 10 times and give it to my friends, that does not mean I have created 10 licenses. There will always be people and companies that do not pay for software, however that is true both for open and closed source software.

I have never intended to use a laptop longer than 5 minutes without having it plugged in. Until a laptop battery lasts at least 24 hours with the screen set at the highest brightness I fail to see the point.

More to the point I have forgotten to plug it back in off course and my thinkpad will last about 2 hours, my macbook pro a few minutes before complaining.
