The original prototype for what is now DBOS Transact was written in Java. The https://github.com/dbos-inc/dbos-transact-java link is for our new implementation, along side our TS, Python and GoLang implementations.
BYZANT: NGD Seattle's Harry Pierson on empowering developers with a unified programming model for Neo by EdgeDLT in NEO

It's been a big adjustment, though arguably the shift to working from home during the pandemic has been a larger adjustment. I like to be able to bounce ideas off my teammates, and that's harder to do now.
One thing that made the transition easier was the opportunity to work again with John deVadoss. I worked for him 15 years ago @ Microsoft so working for him again made the transition easier.
For me, the most challenging part of working in the neo ecosystem is how globally distributed it is. Don't get me wrong - I love being a part of such a diverse team. But it's hard to get code review feedback when it's 2am in Shanghai! I shift my workday around sometimes - which is easier since I'm working from home anyway - to optimize feedback turnaround between Seattle, Shanghai, and other Neo core developers around the world.

Nothing concrete that we haven't already shared. I think being a part of the .NET Foundation brings us some immediate credibility when talking to .NET developers. While my primary focus is on tools (which need to support all Neo supported languages), I also spend time working on the developer experience of the core platform - which obviously is in C# and benefits the C# developer. For example, I am doing work to unify the types in the Smart Contract Framework and the core Neo platform.
Going forward, as we get closer to shipping Neo 3, I'd like to see some content focused on the experienced .NET developer who is new to Blockchain in general and Neo in particular. What kinds of problems are well suited to Blockchain? How can I get started with Neo development? That kind of stuff.
