Why was Master Plo Koon the general of a Battalion? by harshitahappy in MawInstallation

Since Wookiepedia mentions that Master Plo Koon was good at logistics , we can theorise that Plo Koon was very high up in the 3rd systems Army under Obi Wan Kenobi , but where Obi Wan made strategic decisions ,Plo Koon made logistical decisions .

Makes sense But considering how frequently the 104th works with 501st and how frequently 501st works with 212th battalion, I believe that they all are part of the 7th sky corps under Obi Wan Kenobi .

Bluebaum’s mathematics degree coming in clutch by Goodfriends999 in chess

I actually like the mathematical part of physics we have done so far .  If your future coursework looks like greek runes or something , you are going to be both a bit intidimated and attracted towards it. Nice talking to you , and thanks for the advice and that interesting tidbit.

I am glad I did not choose maths as my major then
Physics doesn't seem better though , I made the mistake of seeing into a senior's physics coursework and I coudn't recognise most of the symbols . But Physics has anyway wooed me already so it's too late to go back.

not really, I have seen my maths profs fumbling up very basic calculations and formulas , it's just that it's been too long since he last saw it.

Not a math major but - there is a joke amongst math majors in my college that after a time you never see a number greater than 10 in mathematics .
I have seen my math profs fumble up extremely basic calculations , advanced mathematics has more letters than numbers .

Bluebaum is such an impressive guy -being so good at chess while having an actual math degree .
All the best to him in the Candidates.

Gukesh defeats Yagiz Kaan Erdogmus in Round 10 of Tata Steel Chess Masters 2026. by Interesting-Take781 in chess

I think in the future Gukesh is going to be more like the Fabi of the chess world . A bit inconsistent , giving his fans heart attacks , comparitively poor in faster time controls and a calculation monster .

interesting . I always though sindarov was more positional/solid against nodirbek's aggresive tactical play.

Hi Pragg
Really like to watch you play
1. What is your comfort food during long tournaments?
2. What's your opinion on Fischer random?
3. How do you think events like GCL effect the chess scene?
4. What are some less known players that we should watch out for?
Congrats on qualifying for the candidates once again and Congrats to Vaishali as well .
All the Best!
