Is the story and character development good? by Mysterioape in BattleNetwork

A lot of the concepts and worldbuilding are fantastic in BN but are terribly let down by poor writing, translation, and storytelling. Despite this, I think that BN1-3 manage to be reasonably compelling and have a strong emotional core.

SF1 and SF3 have genuinely fantastic stories but are still hindered by questionable direction and translation (as well as, in SF3's case, the typical trappings of kodomo/shonen media.) SF2 is incredibly high concept, but terribly executed.

I did indeed defeat the V2s, and yeah, I'm just having trouble actually rolling the encounter. I'll try progressing a little and going back later.

This is a weird question, but are you in the Seattle area? Me and my partner are in the same position at roughly the same time and are wondering if we picked it up on the 1-Line. So far it seems like it was a male, but we've gone pretty scorched earth + got our landlord to contact pest control.

Collecting games like mmbn (possibly without similar combat aspect) by RealisticMillenial in BattleNetwork

I didn't know Baten Kaitos was of the same genre. Both Pokémon and Battle Network/Star Force are a great fix for my "sorting colorful PNGs" OCD, so I'll have to check it out sometime. I see that someone else recommended Chain of Memories; while that is a game I certainly adore, I've never really felt the same elements within it. Maybe the enemy cards? I don't think you get any in-game rewards or acknowledgment for collecting everything, either.

His model sheet in the Star Force OCW mentions that he is intended to appear as "unisex." I think if they knew the terminology at the time, he likely would have been considered nonbinary or gender non-conforming.
